I have never seen such a place. They were cleaning the floor at 3.00 P.M. No one was there. It almost looked like a haunted house. Worst ambience and very stinky. Food was average.

Enter at your own risk.Whenever I make an impromptu plan for a visit to bar, some hurdle or the other happens. We were around Velachery which was half submerged due to torrential rains so our only way to get to Adyar was through Guindy to reach Adyar. Being around Phoenix, we initially tried to get into Willows but we were chucked out as we were wearing slippers. Ok, what else do you expect from a five star hotel.Our next attempt was Checkers hotel. We entered into the hotel and went to Poison bar in the first floor. We weren’t even sure whether the bar was open or not because it was so dingy only with one waiter and no audience whatsoever. The place looked like underground pub where goons make transaction for drugs. Haven’t been to a scarier place than that.We got the menu card and I was in cocktail mood. So I asked for cocktail. Good for me there wasn’t any cocktail. Actually there wasn’t anything in the bar except for a couple of drinks. So sitting in the torn leather sofa we finally decided that enough is enough and we got out.So that was my ‘Poison’ story. constantscribbles.wordpress.com
If u are looking for a place to actually njoy the dj music for a weekend party this certainly is not the place to be The acoustics suckThe bar tenders are soo impatientOverall you’ll probably have a head ache not because of the troublesome service they give u but of the horrible music system and the dj only knows a couple of mixes and keeps on playing the same music over and over and over again.Bottom line- There are a lot of decent hotels that offer better acoustics and djThis certainly is not the place to be
