Our experience at China XO was average at best. We had the assorted dim sum platter, the double crispy noodles with a veg sauce and the mock dock in a Kung pao sauce. The dim sums were absolute divine. I’ve never such well made dim sums. The truffle and edamame was my personal favourite. The double crispy noodle was highly disappointing. The mock duck, although flavourful, got quite boring after a few bites. For dessert we had the flourless cake with a coconut pandan dressing and a raspberry sorbet. This was my least favourite item of all. The pandan sauce was quite decent but the cake had an odd texture – quite rubbery. The sorbet was extremely tart and not pleasant to taste. It was topped with a chocolate sauce which made it taste even worse. Overall we loved the service, the ambience and the dim sums. But it’s not worth the price sadly.
