This small biriyani shop is located in the streets of adyar. Went here for lunch recently. To be honest, this was not a really good place. It just an another average biriyani shop. Ordered Chicken biriyani over here. I did not like the chicken in the biriyani, it wasn’t cooked properly. it was bit hard and very dry. Did not like the taste over here. It’s up to you if you want to have biriyani.

Food and Flavour : 2/5Ambience: 2/5Seating: 2/5Service: 3/5Value for Money: 2/5I got to know this place sometime around 2006, when I was in school. After our exams my friends and I used to go to the most happening, customer friendly biriyani kadai there was, Prince Biriyani. It was a time when I had a record for eating 3 1/2 plates and 1 quarter plate Kushka with one soup. It was almost like spending 2.5 hours at your favourite Bhai’s house! Avoiding heavy traffic after a meeting I chose to eat here to see what’s changed over the years. The same guy who manages the place was seated at the counter. Didn’t recognise me though. The highlight of this place used to be the mutton soup, chicken biriyani and the brinjal side. Reminiscing, I opted for two chicken biriyanis and a few extra packets of the brinjal side for me and my friend. We packed it instead of having it there as I was tired of all the driving. I’d still suggest eating your biriyani here. This is one sort where even back when I enjoyed the awesome taste, it was best eaten hot at the stall. This is your regular dum biriyani with all noticeable irritants such as garlic and onion pieces but the masala is well mixed generally. About 4-5 pieces of chicken meat in both our parcels. All of em were rather hard, not cooked well throughout. The brinjal curry was almost as good as it use to be with a distinct parsley and garlic flavour, semi-thick gravy. You may also find the biriyani a bit spicy. And the oil is the right amount. Doesn’t feel oily on your hands washed. Definitely could be better although I got the food at about 3 o’clock. Portions are sufficient for a good eater. The Chicken Biriyani costs Rs.100 per plate. (Back in the day it was Rs.35!)Cards not accepted. Bike parking is easy or use the lane before the stall to park your cars. Packaging was neat and friendly staff.

Sizeable quantity, mildly spiced, with tender chicken pieces and quick delivery makes Prince biryani light on pocket, filling option for lunch. Really nice To have good Tamil style biryani in Adyar. Much better compared To The lower priced biryanis available in the area.

This is one of the cheapest food joints in adyar. Bhai’s biryani is awesome. Biryani gets over soon, mostly takeaway. The place is little congested to sit comfortably, but who cares, food is great 🙂

This is a cheap option for okay-okay biriyanis. There is no ambiance at all. I was not at all impressed. I have not tried the mutton, so I can only speak for chicken and egg biriyanis.
