good
The food was not up to the mark. I ordered for butter naan when the food came it rather looked like butter lachcha paratha. The chicken do pyaza was also not upto the mark though the dal fry was good enough.All together not a very good experience.
Visited this place yestarday i would say how i missed it in adyar, they known by black pearl bar but they have rice bowl restaurant where they have good ambience and perfect chinese restaurant where they serve liquor. Service was perfect on time. Rate was quite pocket friendly. Food was awesome. They have two different place one is bar zone and other is restaurant area that is perfect place to enjoy. The smoking zone was quite small and packed and less ventilation was their apart from that i found everything good. They have to just change the songs list that they play all kind of tamil songs in background.
Used to take regular home delivery here,ambience of the place is normal ,plus since it’s next to bar not that fine for family ,food is really nice ,try their veg pulao is good and crispy lamb and chilly fish are nice
This place came to the rescue when we were not allowed in SNS bar. Don’t know what’s up with that bar which at sometimes allows non-members and sometimes not. If non-members are not allowed, why place it in Zomato listing at first place. I remember going to this bar (Black Pearl) late at night post attending Saarang once. The thought never occurred to go there again but as it was near SNS we thought why not take a try. There was stark difference between the two days. Last time we had gone on a weekday so it was almost empty but this time it was fully packed. The waiters asked whether we had come for food or drink. We said drink, obviously! So they asked us to wait in sofa. They were polite in their behaviour. Brownie point for that.While waiting there we saw almost everyone with their drinks in the restaurant so we opted to stay in Rice Bowl. We got a table but the distance was too much. I wish that had been reduced, at least for bar ambience, because the talking sound would be up more with so much spacing.Our orders were simple. One beer, Chilly Beef, Veg Sheekh Kebab and Veg Manchow Fried Rice. Chilly Beef stood out as per many sayings. Others were good too, no complaints there. Food is good. The price in this menu is not updated. We went at 10:30pm and they almost didnt allow us to get in. so, timings and price should be updated.
