Rates are almost same in all such shop so can’t comment its costly as people generally say. Added few pictures, a must try!!

Came across this place when visiting Besant Nagar beach with a group of friends in the evening. This is located bang on the KFC signal opp. Goli vada pav and can be easily spotted.Coming to the item, it’s just another version of French fries though, a simple fried potato rolled up in springy shape. Taste wise, don’t expect anything out of the world. Though one can choose to opt for cheese/mayo or different masalas for varied tastes.An indigenous concept and a recent fad of Chennai. Mind you, It’s all about the presentation here. That’s what you’re paying for.
Go on a walk to Besant nagar beach and don’t have one of these is never happened till date. The chilli mayo is my favorite, very cheap convenient to carry around. And to top that it is everyone’s favorite whether you are full or hungry, It doesn’t matter.P.S – Views are strictly personal on that particular day n time, Nothing to do with anything/anyone else
This place is located in one of the major hotspots of besant nagar. It is exactly in the place were the 3 major roads of the beach. It is a street kind of shop. They sell only spring potatoes. I ordered one over here. It costs approximately 60 rupees. The spring potato is crunchy and delicious with all the powders like chilli and pepper etc. Topped wit mayo also. I love them. There are also hundreds of places where you get this in the same area. 🙂

This is one of the many options of fun foods that you get in the beach which you can munch on!First, the potato is cut spirally and fried in a big vat of oil. After it is fried to a crisp golden brown, it is take out and while it is still hot, many masalas are sprinkled on top which you can customise according to your liking! You can also opt for cheese to be poured atop your spring potato! Which just elevates the taste to a next level!On the whole, if you really think you haven’t had much of potatoes, do try this version. You will never regret!
