Visited here on a late weekday evening. Place has been on my hitlist for a while – thanks to a few splendid posts I saw on instagram. What we triedWe only ordered desserts/shakes. Was not in the mood for cheesecake, so chose two of their popular options – hazelnut mousse and michael jackson freak shake (with a request to use chocolate base instead of vanilla)The mousse failed to impress and was the first dessert in the longest time that I felt I had not ordered – left a portion uneaten as well (after 3 of us foodies sharing)The shake was a mixed bag. The head and all the glamour ans ice cream had a distaste to it while the actual shake was very good (only saving grace). Slightly pricy considering its inside Phoenix. Decent cafe styled ambience No issues with service. bingingbanker.com
Was here after I spotted Zomato Gold , however was quite let down by it. We ordered only 2 dishes. Service is pretty slow!!Paneer Tikka – Liked it , nothing really to complain. For main course ordered Thai Green Curry – although the presentation was different, we didn’t enjoy it and wasted almost half of the dish. Pricey, but Zomato Gold saves us! Can be skipped.
The place should have been better given its looks. But I experienced two main issues : Service was not only slow but almost rude. Like when we asked for a fork, the staff member brought one fork only and kept on other side of the table we were sitting at. It is a minor thing but reflects the service attitude. The food menu was misleading – example : we ordered veggies grilled thinking it would be healthier option, but veggies were one fourth of the contents of the dish we received. There was a fried patty filled with cheese whose portion was large. Similarly Mirchi Wala omelette wasn’t spicy at all. The dishes look good but taste didn’t make me go wow.
Went in wanting to try something new at Phoenix and were very satisfied. We tried the burnt tomato soup, the full American burger, flaming chicken pizza, and patissez fried chicken. The wait time was very minimal, each dish was brought to us in minutes so it’s a short enough break while shopping. Pizza and burger were great. The fried chicken was a bit smaller than we expected and was a little too oily. For dessert we ordered the chocolate and caramel popcorn cake and were very disappointed, it didn’t taste fresh at all. The cake and frosting were too cold and hard.Overall the food and decor were good but service could use some improvement. The staff doesn’t respond promptly at all.
Starters were very good, we ordered paner, chicken, fish N prawns. pancakes was perfect fluffy and soft. Juices had no sugar in them, didn’t taste good, pizza had too many chili’s in them had to pick them out before eating.
Had my weekend cheat meal here and the food is too good to have. Our orders were a Nutella freakshake, omelette on a skillet and a chicken pizza. Nutella shake was good but expected the quantity to be a little more as the name freakshake gave us an expectation. Omelette was fluffy and good and asked the chef for the method to make such for my daily protein fix(too good to have a cheat food like that). Finally the pizza was too yummy. Thin crust, saucy tomato sauce with a few basil leaves which can give serious competition for Dominos and Pizza hut. Next time will try their donuts on display and few other beverages too as this time we had another appointment to go. See you soon Patissez.
A place with good ambience and friendly staff! Might be a bit harsh on your pockets but totally worth it! It’s hard to find charcoal bun burgers in Chennai and Patissez easily dominates the first place amongs the very few joints – I personally loved the version without pickles, but tastes vary. And for the Grilled Chicken ’75s, it was amazing! The flavour was subtle but mouth lingering. As mentioned, the staffs are super friendly. The TAT is relatively quick and options in the menu are plenty.Recommendable.
