I have had food here at Shree Durga hotel quite a number times before. I work close-by and couple of days back wanted to have a quick dinner. Stepped in here without any hesitation. This is a lot better than the nearby Hot Chips but it doesn’t have the ambiance. What it lacks in ambiance, it makes up by the taste of the food. The place is small and looks old. This is an old hotel been present in the area for a number of years now. No frills and just quick, cheap and tasty South Indian food. It gets very good patronage with mostly localites and college students munching .This time ordered for a Parotta and Kuruma. It was prompt and not much of waiting for me. The parotta is quite big when compared to other Veg only hotels. It was nice and fluffy which is important. The Kuruma was also very tasty. I have also tried other items like Dosai, Pongal, Poori Masala here before and trust me, they are all good and satisfies you in terms of quantity and quality. If you can bear with the old looks and the lack of ambiance, it is well suited for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner.
One of the oldest restaurants as they claim to be, it is one of the best places where you get to taste proper South Indian delicacies. The service is also quiet good and the ambience as well. Lunch menu is good, especially curd rice.! The medu vadai is also one of my favourites!Recently we went for breakfast again. Ordered masala dosa and onion dosa, both of them were superr tasty. We also had chilled Badam milk which was too yummy!!

An ideal place to grab a quick bite for breakfast on the way to your office.Tastes good.Reasonably priced.Quick service too.Ambience could be improved.
It’s been months since I’ve written to Zomato to list this restaurant and finally it’s listed. It’s an 18 year old restaurant which serves good food. It is adjacent to Aravind theatre, karapakkam. It’s been around more than a year that I’m eating from here. You might’ve to share your table with strangers, as the place is small and everyone prefer this restaurant for a quick bite.I’ve tried almost everything there, idiyappam is the best. Chilli porotta, chappathi, poori are also good. Tea/coffee/ other hot beverages is bit costly and too little. Place is clean (except near the wash). But overall it’s one of the few restaurants i trust in.At juice shop (Nizar’s ) next to udupi, you’ll get cold pressed (in a way? mosambi juice which is awesome.
