Worst of the worst. We waited for 45 minutes but they didn’t allot us tables. alloted tables to people who came after us. Being in hospitality sector- they shouldn’t be doing this. Ruining coimbatore’s reputation.

Promising south Indian restaurant, neat and good ambience. Crab soup was good, and carb pieces were well cooked and soft. Mutton kola balls is must try. Biriyani quantity was sufficient, not less, not much. Tandoori was different, some sauce was on it, yet good. Mutton chukka was good, but quantity was less. Liver was bad, hard to chew.

This place is serving the best starters. Fish finger and butterfly prawn always in the top list. Prawn pepper fry, baby corn, chicken barbeque was superb. Main course were okay. Elaneer payasam definetly stealed the show.

Hotel Kannappa one of the known restaurants in Coimbatore a place to visit with friends, family and for meet up ,get together etc. The service here is good and the ambience here is excellent and people visit here for lunch and dinner. Usually busy during the weekends and there are lot of seating capacity so wait time here is less. They have ample car parking facilities back side of the hotel and this place can be easily located as it lies on the main road.I visited during the weekend, during the night time it was busy but as the service is quick and lot of table available it is very rare for waiting I think so……( as I have not experienced )as I am visiting this place for the first time .About the Food I ordered:⭐ Chettinad Nattu Kozhi Rasam- This is basically a chicken soup and it was not as expected but was ok. The thing is just a piece of chicken in a boiled water with some spices is the concept behind this. The taste was ok but not highly recommended.⭐ Pallipalayam Chicken- Tasting it for the first time, it was of chicken boneless pieces mixed with spices and red chilies and the taste was really good and this is a must try option here and I really loved it.⭐ Idiyappam – Two Pieces were served with sweet milk and the size was small otherwise the taste was good and can be tried here.⭐ Mutton Biryani-Was good and the mutton piece was cooked well and the quantity is fit for a person and the kuruma given for the biryani was good, when tasted it with the biryani. ⭐ Kudal Kulambu- Also known as the Mutton Boti Curry/Gravy was well cooked and the gravy had a excellent aroma when served and this was the best when we had it with Kal Dosai.⭐ Dragon Chicken-As usually the dragon chicken had the same taste with the tangy flavor and in this place the chicken pieces was small and was a bit dry ….⭐ Kal Dosai – The Dosa was big in size and most people buy kal Dosai here as it goes along with all the side dish and the gravy perfectly and we had kal dosai with the botti /Kudal Kulambu and with the Nattu Kozhi Masala.⭐ Nattu Kozhi Masala-It was like a homemade masala , the chicken was well cooked and the aroma made us mouthwatering and the taste is definitely excellent and please try this with kal dosai.Overall everything was good, Please fix the taps in the Wash Room and make necessary changes in the food like the soup and the dragon chicken, apart from this the ambience, table service which is really quick, response for questions by the captians , customer service by the management everything is excellent. I ll Give 4 Stars for this place.

Tried Chettinad and Mughalal Biryani. Both were very good but taste was pretty okay. Chicken roast was good. Ambiance and service was polite. Don’t forget to try Elaneer Payasam that made me order twice since the quantity was not enough. Price is very high on major items based on quantity.

This is one of the restaurants in Coimbatore that’s famous for High Class Chettinad food. The place has amazing interiors that’s close to a fine-dine restaurant. Being closer to the airport the place attracts a lot of outsiders and locals. I recently visited the restaurant with a group of friends and that had a local spoke highly about the place.AmbianceThe interiors of the place look very good and every seat is nicely seutp. There is piece of paper in everyones seat that tells a little about Kannappa. The restaurant already has 3 more branches in Trichy. Kannapa also does ‘Outdoor Catering’ and also allows take-away & home-delivery.Ample car parking space is available around the restaurant.FoodSouth Indian MealThe meal is served on a plantain leaf kept inside a specially designed plate. This allows one to enjoy eating in plantain leaf and not allow sambar to come out of the plantain leave. Even if it does, it will remain in the plate.Items served includes varieties of Sambar (normal, rasam & kara kozhumbu), 3 currys, Salad, Pick, Rice and Paapad.Among the curries – 2 of the dry-dishes and 1 semi-gravy dish (potato) are serve on the plantain leaf.Buttermilk and chutneys are served in small bowl. South Indian Paapad is also served and one can always ask for more. All the above-mentioned items are eaten along with plain rice that’s served in plenty. The waiter is also kind enough to put as much as needed.I enjoyed the taste of all the curries and sambar. Specially loved the Tondakayi (Ridge Gourd) curry as it was very well cooked and tasted good. The green-gram curry also had Moong Daal and grated coconut pieces.Curd is not served, and one needs to task the same. Waiter immediately obliges by bringng it.Tender Coconut Payasam / Elaneer PayasamPayasam is the traditional word used to describe kheer/liquid-sweet in South India. This dish mainly contains coconut milk, tender coconut milk, tender coconut pulp, sugar, cardamom, nutmeg, cashews. The drink usually contains less sweet and perfect to be taken during a hot day. Taste of the payasam was just amazing and very refreshing. My friends also enjoyed ordering few Chettinad Chicken Curry, Biryani and enjoyed every bite.Overall ExperienceA great place to dine in with your family and friends. If you are a traveller, I will recommend the place as its very close to the International airport. The service can be a little slow but once they started serving, they became faster. Taste of the curries are little different compared to what I find in Bangalore. I enjoyed the South Indian Meals and thought it was a good meal. I will recommend the same to anyone in/visiting Coimbatore. My current rating for the place would be 4.0/5.Rating in other departments.Food – 4.0/5Ambiance – 4.0/5Drinks – 3.75/5Service – 3.5/5Food for 2 at the place will come to anywhere between INR 500-1200. fodyssey.com

We went a group of 10ppl from my office. Ordered several NV and veg items. Service is Good. Most of the foods are good as expected. But the gravy items are very ordinary. Nothing special . Prices are bit high for the taste and quantity.
