This is not the first time it’s happened to me – you ask for a margarita and they give you a vodka based drink. But it’s the first time it’s happening to me on a Radisson property. I’ve enjoyed the margaritas in Delhi, Chennai, Indore etc but here in Coimbatore they spoilt it.They gave me a classic margarita the first time – it was too lime-y to distinguish the taste. So I ordered for the orange margarita the next round and asked the guy how he made it. He kept repeating 45ml vodka and 15ml triple sec – I knew I had been had. And the bitter-sweet taste of tequila just didn’t come through. And sure enough when the bill came – it said 2 cosmopolitans (they have to account for the vodka, I guess).Come on guys – tell me you don’t have tequila and I would have had a beer instead.Why am I giving it a 3? because of the food that comes with the drink (as in any other place in Tamil Nadu). The potato wafers, peanuts, gobi manchurian and pepper chicken ensured I didn’t need dinner.
