I went to this place last week and the food seriously amazed me.Its located on Wall tax road, jut beside Chennai central railway station. the place sure looks shabby but the food tastes good. We had a chicken thali which was only 110 and had rice (unlimited), dal (unlimited), chana curry (unlimited), parwal (pointed gourd) curry, chicken curry (2 medium pieces) and papad. Sadly no chutney :(They have a variety of different fish curries and egg as well which is pocket friendly.One down side is only cash is accepted.I would say that this place is a lot better than the shops beside Chepauk station (Chidambaram stadium) and maybe a bit cheaper as well.

This restaurant actually a dhaba is an heaven for all the bong people living in Park Town. When you are craving for bengali food a visit to this eatery is must. They serve plain home cooked bengali thalis at very cheap price. The food is mouth watering including the fish & chicken. It is a heaven for the maach bhath priyo bangalis. Do not expect any sort of ambience or class. Just visit the place for cheap bengali food in Chennai.
