  We usually invite a lot of friends home for Christmas and order briyani. Been a tradition for many years now. Thought we could change things up a bit last Christmas and order the Lamb Ouzi. First, the delivery was extremely late. I think it was almost an hour late. But the packaging was pretty good. And it’s very different to see a full Lamb on the platter! The meat was extremely soft and well cooked the rice was also pretty nice, laden with steamed potatoes and eggs. Overall, it was good but we wouldn’t order it again. It was nice for a one time thing. We’d still go back to briyani cause this is just not spicy enough for our tastebuds.

  Had a home delivered food from this place. Food was excellent and gravy that they delivered is delicious. Would upgrade it to 5* after trying lamb dish next time

  I came across about this place on a friend’s blog, and Thank God I did ! yess !We as a group of 15 people wanted to have an wonderful dining experience because we know we’d be soon drifting apart, as we were nearing our end of our college life. After I came across Mashawi I suggested that we will have Ouzi in Kootanjoru style !Lot of people + amazing food = Incredible fun. this formula can’t go wrong.Ouzi is a rich rice and meat dish from the Middle East, which is usually cooked in huge proportions on important occasions. it takes long hours of preparation (approx 4 hours) The meat is slow cooked along with a gravy to perfection. the long grains of rice is cooked with a lot of rich and authentic spices with saffron.Ouzi is served on a big Tambula plate, with rice as a bed at the bottom, Meat on the top, Topped with rich nuts such as cashew and almonds.boiled potatoes and boiled eggs were placed along the circumference of the plate. two bowls of gravy was also packed to have it along with the rice. The whole view of the plate will leave you speechless. The aroma of which keeps us craving for even more ! We ordered our Half lamb ouzi the previous day. Delivery was on time. No complaints here. The packing was neat and perfect, wrapped with a silver foil and tied on a huge cloth!Soon after we opened the packing, 15 of us sat cross legged around the plate and started attacking our food like barbaric individuals. literally. We were all so hyped and amazed.the taste was incredible. it was very new to my overly adapted south indian taste buds, but It was Awesome. The meat was cooked to perfection. it was so tender and the texture was so rich. like it wasn’t oily but the viscosity is due to the cholesterol from the mutton ! that rich ! The rice along with the gravy and boiled egg was a perfect combination !Even though the food tasted incredible, I loved the experience of eating with so many friends together in one single plate than the food itself !Price: it costed us 350 INR each (4200 including the delivery charges) even though it sounds expensive for a single dish per meal I’d say try this new dish for some new experience. VFM 4.5/5Bottom line – this Blast from the middle East is our new love. Welcome to chennai Ouzi !

  A perfect place for biryani lovers. The authentic arabian style biryani with potatos, chicken, gravey and rice just makes your tummy heavy and full. Lovely presentation which tempts you to have it full. Enjoy this mouthwatering biryani with your family and friends.

  Best restaurant to have Arabian Ouzi, the presentation of the chicken was spectacular.They served us three full chicken on a plate.Hoping to order once again as soon as possible
