Suited me perfectly. Cold beer. Served quickly along with a club sandwich and some popcorn to munch for dinner just before I boarded the train.Just the way I look a quick meal with a cold beer. Carlsberg in TN? Served cold? I was left smiling to myself.The bill took a little while but managed to catch my train in good time.
This review is based on the only time I visited this place a couple of years back for an afternoon party!Situated in Fortel Hotel, very near to Egmore station, yet the disc is quite shady. Though they have a huge hoarding of MIXX in front of the hotel, I don’t think much people bother to enter the disc at all. And having just 4 reviews says it all!As I mentioned, I had gone there for an afternoon party and hence they managed to attract all young crowd and the place was jam-packed that day. Young as in mostly high-school/college kids! The atmosphere was quite hip and happening.Ambiance is nothing too great. Few usual table-chair seating, few comfy sofas, few bar seating and a comparatively smaller dance floor in the middle.We were four. Took a corner seat next to the dance floor so that we could have some time to us as well as see the kids having their time! :DWe ordered for a few beers which arrived in no time along with some peanuts and chips. By the time we could even finish our drinks, the music started getting louder and the crowd was going crazy. Dance floor was way too crowded to even step in there. People started to dance right on their seats, some on top of the tables.The music was good! A mix of hindi and english. We hit the dance floor after a while, somehow managed to pitch in. Got some shots too from the bar counter. When the party was nearing it’s end, the DJ started playing all hindi ghati dance numbers and there was no end to the craziness of the crowd. It was a great afternoon there.We didn’t order food so no complaints on the service part. Not sure how it is now. Mixxx—- This place is worthless for every penny that you spend. It was a saturday evening and I expected a decent crowd at the bar. To my surprise, there was not even a single soul present at the venue. Poor ambience, worst lighting effects and expensive drinks. I’ve been to the same place three years back and it was awesome with good seating arrangements, music and dance floor. I don’t know what happened to MIXXX now. The bar attenders would never care to come near you.The snacks that they serve you would be popcorn, Chips soaked in water and cucumber. Ask for snacks and they’ll come up with the same snacks. Drinks are way too expensive. Poor experience.

This place is useless. The decor and whatever is so ordinary and unattractive. The bartenders hardly attend to you and are more interested in watching TV. They usually never have half the items on the menu. The cocktails are way too pricey. The stirrers in the drinks are plastic! There’s nothing classy here and then when we almost finished our drinks they served us with soggy chips and horribly cut carrot and cucumber. Not worth a visit. One word i can think about this place is Crap. What a waste of money and time i spent there. Nothing personal or harsh on them, but they really deserve a bad comment. This place used to be a night club,but its not anymore. Its just serving as a bar. The ambience is really poor with very bad lighting and seating arrangements. The bar tenders are too arrogant and they act as if they are not bothered about the customers feel bab about it. The menu is decent but the knowledge of waiters is very poor. We just asked for a Kingfisher Select Beer, and the waiter said they didnt have, but actually the one he gave me was the same i asked for. Simply please forget this place if you dont want to ruin your night out.
