  I was in Chennai earlier this week and was staying at Radisson Blu hotel. Being a Japanese food lover, I decided to try raka raku for lunch. Surprisingly they didn’t have sushi on their menu for lunch. I ordered set menu with seafood tempura, sticky rice and miso soup. You don’t call it mix seafood tempura when the bowl is full of veg tempura with a piece each of prawn and fish. And the food tastes blah! Overpriced for the substandard quality of food they served.

  In short, try the place out, the ambience is good the food is too. If you want to try Japanese food, this is a pretty good start.The place is quite subtle, and inviting, and seems like a place you’d want to take your client too. The staff is warm, courteous, after all they are professionally trained staff.The sushi, the asparagus wrapped bacon, the beef steak, are all pretty good. Though the dimsums seemed to be inconsistent in texture, flavour and sometimes even in appearance.The price, is quite appropriate, keeping in mind – the ambience of the place and variety and rarity of the cusine, and if you want a good change, that you know you can’t go wrong with, this is a good place to go to.Happy eating.

  Best Japanese restaurant in Chennai by far. Have been to most of the Japanese outlets in the city and we keep going back to Raku Raku as the go to restaurant to get our Japanese fix. Food is really great. No doubt helped by chef Yasuyuki’s magic in the kitchen. It’s a simple menu of very tasty dishes and that’s often the best way to enjoy Japanese food. Ordering a number of dishes and putting them in the middle of the table for everyone to enjoy. And it has a nice ambience and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Hope it stays that way so we can keep enjoying the food!

  Very authentic Japanese food . The miso soup and assorted sushi platter are a must try , and the beef steak , seafood Pork pancakes were prepared to perfection .. Area of improvement – the hostess was too busy to even open the door to welcome us , barring this we enjoyed the service and the overall experience was very good .. A must visit place if you are looking for authentic Japanese food ..

  Wonderful food here. We unexpectedly dropped in here, after not wanting to eat a very heavy dinner. But all the items ordered were exceptional. Generally an less crowded option, so better if you want to enjoy a quiet good meal.

  Tucked in well in the privacy of Radisson blue is raku raku an authentic Japanese restaurant for all Japanese cuisine lovers. With extremely friendly and courteous staff to great ambience you can sit back and enjoy your maki rolls, sashimi and main course. Adding pictures and menu as the same was not available online. Make reservations to get your favorite table. Food – 3.5 as they lacked variety but quality i would rate 4.5Ambience – 5Staff – 5Parking and alcohol available

  Awesome buffet with lots of options in Salads and Sweets . The salads were fresh and colourful and tasty .. There were a large varity of sweets starting from rasamalai , kamlabhog to Brownie . The veg starters were even better than the non-veg platter . They should increase the options for the starters . (They have only 6 types) . If you want to have lunch in a good hotel , with good service and you dont mind spending few bucks for it .Then this is your place .
