I have been here multiple times as it’s close to my sister’s office, but there were so many let downs every time I go.We ordered clola poori, onion bajji, gobi manchurian dry and coffee.The chola poori was good, the chole isn’t authentic north indian, it’s different yet tasty. The onion bajji was uncooked and we had to return it. The gobi manchurian was not good. The gobi did not seem to have been fried in any batter and tasted very awful. The coffee was good.I have had their karupatti sukku tea which was good. Do try that if u visit ✌️

I specifically told the waiter to make it super cold, like I usually do. The parotta arrived first. The wait time was minimal. The parotta was hot but rubbery, The gravy was good. Shree Akshara Bhavan is a normal restaurant so don’t expect any flashy ambience, The people visiting the government maternity hospital, Mercury hospital can have food at a nominal rate from this restaurant which is only a stone’s throw away from these hospitals.There is ample parking space, and the staffs are prompt. Me and my friend went for lunch,I had a normal meal for which one should take token ,the meal is worth for 80rs , even though I didn’t like the payasam they gave as dessert (it was too diluted with water).My friend had onion rava dosai which he told was not that good.Overall an average typical restaurant and I must say the restaurant should be kept a little bit more neat , specially the wash area.
I was been here few times. It is easy to locate. Just near egmore children hospital. Have space to park vehicle in that small interior road. It is like normal hotel so dont expect much ambiance. Service is good. Tried few idly and dosas. It is decent. Price is cheaper. Value for money.
Excellent for typical Southindian food. Very Tasty & Quality home made food. Service is good. I remember my Mom made food after having Veg Meals at Akshara Bhavan. So Delicious food. My favourite food here is Chilly Idly/ Parota, Ada Dosa, Tamilnadu Sambar, Madurai Fry Idly, Fry Pav Bhajji, Dahi Poori, Unlimited Pani Poori’s on all Saturday’s, Fruit Punch (Moctail), etc.., I recommend people to never miss Akshara Bhavan.
