I visited The Society Bar to experience their idly festival. Omg! The whole spread was filled with scrumptious food. There were all kinds of idlys and chutneys and i literally loved each and every dish. Kudos to the entire team on arranging an amazing buffet for the idly festival
Mostly a place for stags, as I saw very few couples here.Great deals during IPL season though – Unlimited pours + 1 appetiser for around 1,000/- all day (no time limit)Complimentary snacks provided are really good and the food is also tasty.
A regular visitor to the bar since 3 years now I found this place very quite and comforting when compared to other bars in Chennai. The bar has a very friendly staff the food served is excellent, we have the Manager Mr. Bahruddin who comes in rounds and personally greets every guest checks if we are fine. It is this personal touch that keeps me coming here.

After a lot of unfruitful search for bars around Egmore and Mount road we settled to this bar. This place had a bit of nostalgia associated so I was kind of happy to go there.We thought of starting off with cocktail. So wanted a Gimlet but Gin was not available so settled for Screwdriver, which was heavily watered down and Planters Punch. Both didn’t taste good and were given in normal drinking water glasses. So needless to say we were terribly disappointed. My friend then went for beer and I for Vodka. I asked for Lime Soda which came as Lime extract and bottled Soda. Again, a disappointment. The ambiance too wasn’t anything great. Worst thing is it has a place to go to restaurant in the corner of the bar. The only good thing was the smoking room, the chair of which interested me. The banquet facility is worst in this hotel. The banquet manager is unruly and manipulative in nature and tries to fleece the customer. No confirmation is correct and the banquet staff tries to rip the customer off with wrong information. I suggest to keep away from the banquet facility of this hotel.
