We ordered in from this new restaurant in mogapair which has replaced Apna Da Dhaba, and is being run by the same management I hear. So we were expecting some good quality food from them. Below is a quick review of all that we ordered.1. Chicken tikka- taste was good, some pieces were chewy though, and a little bit more charred than what you would expect.2. Chicken pepper soup- we were looking forward to a South Indian chicken rasam kind of a soup but were surprised to find an Indian Chinese version. But the taste was quite good!3. Kadai chicken- a bit of a shocker, turned out to be quite sweet, with an inch of oil floating on top. A few pieces also tasted weird, seemed more like steamed chicken pieces dunked in the gravy.4. Chicken Biryani- a mild biryani, quite flavorful and tasty though5. Phulkas- packaging made them more like chapatis than phulkas,i guess. Might have been good if we had dined in.Overall an okay experience, but quite a few miles to go if they plan to live upto the taste of apna da dhaba
Food: A decent family restaurant serving exceptionally good menu starting with a splendid and richly flavoured Mutton soup extended to delight me further with a properly cooked meals that served chicken, and karuvadu gravy along with sufficient side dish. The fish puttu was sumptuous and I suggest it personally for all sea food cravers . Undoubtedly they made wonders in the way of presenting the dishes which kindled my interest to explore more, especially with the chicken kabab. Though the non veg meals was extraordinary and spicey they need to work hard to satisfy the expectations of a briyani lover like that of myself for it was quite plain and lacked flavour . How ever the karuvadu kolambu was more than impresive to make an other visit .On the whole it served SOULFUL food to light up a day with our family.Place : It is located in Mogappair west,Chennai and has parking space too . Not very hard to spot though not in the main road, take a jolly ride with family.Suitable place for a family to make an extraordinary memory.Cost : It is highly economical and requires just 200 to 400 bucks to fill up an adults hurry tummy with suffiently good food.
