The Westin never fails to disappoint , tried their lounge – Mix . The placement of the bar could have been better , but the food and service makes up for it .Good selection of food , mind blowing taste and a cheerful service staff is what made me give a 5 star rating .
The best place to be in Hyderabad after midnight for great food. Their burgers are just yumm and coffee too. This place always tops the list.
Came here for the USDA sponsored Cocktail Event with my foodie group. Had a really nice evening learning the art of making Cocktails. It started off with Mr Llama, the presenter teaching us on how to create an Old Fashioned cocktail. A few sips down with the drink we moved on to the Manhattan, served straight up. Had a smooth touch for the palate. Then we made the Whiskey Sour. The best whiskey sour ever. Then the Mint Julep from the Kentucky Derby. It is a bit on the sweeter side. And finally the Spiced Boulevardier. This was the best of the lot. Ping Me for the Recipes, if you want.Overall it was a hell of an experience.
Worst service ever rude staff waters are rude so are the so called bouncers went to that place yesterday they charge five stare rates there service is one stare
Nice place for a quiet beer. They have Tex Mex and a fair selection of vegetarian snacks. I tried their baby potato fry – marinated baby potato tossed with garlic lentil powder and tamarind extract. It is local and a must try. The only issue being the TV volume wasn’t muted and I had to tell them people pay a bomb for privacy and quiet!!
I’ve been here many times for many nights, and always have a great time. Sangtei and Jack are fantastic. They are great at engaging the crowd, and Sangtei’s voice is amazing. If you have a chance to visit Hyderabad you don’t want to miss this place.
I am not one to usually write reviews of restaurants/hotels that I have visited, but my experience at Mix (bar/lounge @ The Westin, Hyderabad) was so immensely pleasing that I felt I must post this – I was recently entertaining my VVIP foreign clients after a hectic and nerve-racking couple of days with them, and really needed to make a lasting impression. I decided to bring them for a few drinks to Mix, after which I had planned to take them elsewhere for dinner. On entering Mix, we were politely greeted and shown to our table. Barely had we settled down, that our attention was drawn to the 2 wonderful singers onstage. The music and singing were absolutely fantastic! My clients, being American, were thrilled to witness such a high caliber performance here in India. As we sipped on our drinks, the duo went through several songs that my clients absolutely loved. At one point, one of them actually went up to the stage to confirm if the singers were actually singing – the music was so flawless and wonderful. The singers were also very glamorously dressed and had star qualities and charisma. Not what you’d ever expect in a hotel bar. They spoke well between songs, greeted regulars and catered to all song requests. They exuded a strong sense of being totally in control and truly loving their art. My clients were having such a wonderful time listening to all their favourite songs and singing along, that they decided to stay on at Mix till the end of the performance. I hadn’t seen them so excited and exuberant before. We ended up having our dinner there as well. At the end of the performance, the duo (their names are Jack & Sangtei) chatted with us and regaled my clients with music talk. A really lovely pair indeed! Jack was exceptionally well spoken and knowledgeable – an observation made by my clients. The drinks and food were very good and well liked by my clients. The service was prompt and courteous. All in all, we had a truly wonderful time…. and I scored big with my clients! Kudos to Jack & Sangtei!
