Recently I went for dinner to this restaurant, and I loved few dishes which were served. Its on the main road, easy to spot. Great interior, spacious and budget friendly menu. I loved the mutton shorba, golkonda kodi and royalla vepudu. Rose flavoured lassi was amazing. Kodameenu fish fry was good too. The fish was fresh. Mutton roganjosh was delicious indeed. We tried mutton biriyani, panchi mirchi kodi kuda, kodi vepudu pulao and butter naan with panchratna sabzi. In desserts I loved the kheer and apricot delight..
‘Rajavindu’ literally translates to king’s feast and the newly opened restaurant in SLN terminus lives up to it’ s name. Having making chaos in the food circuit in the city, the new kid on the block is claimed to serve some serious authentic Telugu cuisine in the city. With a large dining hall , royal elegant decor and moderate lighting, the place sets you up for a royal feast as soon as you enter the space. The use of regional ingredients like gongura leaves, guntur chillies and other spices add a myriad of flavours to the dishes served in the restaurant. We were invited for a food blogger’s meet and the review for the food session is as follows:Soups:The ‘Kodi Rassam’ was a spicy chicken broth that packed a punch of regional flavours. Appetisers: The ’Makka Jonna Wada’ had deep fried masala daal wada which was an amazing appetiser. The ‘Pandu Mirchi Sticks’ had mashed corn kebabs on a stick coated with Sichuan sauce, which was not at all appealing. The ‘Golkonda Kodi’ had small pieces of chicken wrapped in a large potato chip, deep fried and sprinkled with signature spices. The ‘Bheemavaram Kodi Vepudu’ had hot and spicy chicken made with fresh ground masala which was flavourful. The ‘Korameenu Fish Fry’ had batter fried fish served alongside spicy chutney. The ‘Royalla Vepudu’ had prawn stir fried with local spices that was absolutely fabulous. The ‘Crispy corn rolls’ was increadibly hot and crispy. The ‘Crunch Creamy Cutlet’ had panner wrapped The tangy ‘Nellore Chepala’ went well with the hot steamed rice.Main Course: The ‘Andhra Kodi Kura’ was amazingly spicy and was perfect with the ‘Vegetable Biriyani’. The ‘Navratan Korma’ was sweet and creamy rich went well with hot ‘Butter Naan’. The Mutton Roganjosh’ went well crispy flaky ‘Malabar Parota’. The ‘Ajanta Kodi Pulao’ is a spicy chicken pulao from Rajahmundry made only with chicken drumsticks along with cashew nut paste that helped to neutralise the spicy dish. The ’Palnadu Kodi Pulao’ hails from Guntur district which was had flavoured yellow rice flavoured with spicy chillies and other signature spices. Desserts:‘Apricot Delight’ is a signature Hyderabadi sweet be made with layers of apricots, sugar, water, cream and caramel. ‘Junnu’ is a traditional pudding made out of colostrum milk with hints of cardamom and jaggery was delicious. The ‘Malai Rabdi’ had thickened sweetened milk with layers of rich malai on the top but was a tad too sweet for my personal taste. Recommendations: Kodi Rasam,Mokka Jonna Wada,Golkondi Kodi,Royalla Vepudu,Crunchy Creamy Cutlet,Bheemavaram Kodi Vepudu,Navratan Korma,Andhra Kodi Kura,Aanta Kod Pulao,Junnu, Malai Rabdi.Taste:4/5 , Ambience: 4/5 , Service:5/5 , Price:5/5 , Overall 4/5
This is a newly opened restaurant located in SLN Terminus. It is known for its authentic Telugu Cuisine.Starting with the ambiance, it’s really simple yet very beautiful. It is a pretty big space, with enough number of covers, but doesn’t feel crowded or suffocating. The best part about the complete experience is their food. From the starters through main course to the desserts, we loved each and every dish they had to serve. In each dish they had nailed the flavours and textures, and hats off for this consistency. Some of the dishes we loved and would recommend:~ Shanghai Rolls: Cooked perfectly with a nice crisp covering, and a slightly softer filling inside. The flavours were well balanced and the dish was served with a sweet and tangy chutney that complimented the dish beautifully.~Pandu Mirchi Sticks: This was our favourite veg starter of the day. This was a new dish for us, and we loved how it was packed with flavours and had a lovely texture.~ Veg Spring Rolls: This was yet another delicious starter. Best part was it did not taste oily like the usual spring rolls, and rather had some beautiful flavours.~Bhimavarapu Kodi Vepudu: Authentic Telugu Chicken dish. The meat was cooked well and had some really good flavours.~ Golconda Kodi Vepudu: This was some delicious spicy chicken which was served wrapped in potatoes chips. Another of out favorite starters.~ Guttivankaya Pulao: This is a rice based dish served with stuffed Brinjal. Absolutely loved the dish. It had amazing balance of flavours and was cooked to perfection.~ Ulavacharu Chicken Pulao: Another rice based dish packed with good meat and flavours.~ Malai Rabdi: Best dessert of the day. They had nailed the balance of sweetness and the texture was absolutely amazing!Would recommend this to all food lovers out there. It’s definitely worth visiting.
Went for Sunday lunch:Ambiance is beautiful, loved the interier decoration. We tried:Veg starters:- Shanghai Rolls: I liked that for reasonable prices, they served a very good quantity. These were basically small vegetable rolls, served with hot and sweet sauce. Good.- Spring Rolls: My fav, they were cooked to perfection, crunchy from the outside and good amount of veggies inside. A good vegetarian option, WOULD RECOMMEND.- Pandu Mirchi Sticks: By the name of it, I was a bit scared on how spicy would it be, but I was happy with the amount of spice. It was neither too much nor too less.Non-Veg Starters:-Golconda kodi: MUST TRY. Impressive way of serving. Chicken was cooked nicely.- Bhemavarapu Kodi: My fav in non veg starters, I loved the combination of spices they had put, Great taste. WOULD RECOMMEND.- Chepela Vepudu: Not my fav, It was basically fried and I found it kinda dry.Main Course:- Had Lachha paratha with chicken curry: Chicken curry was really good, but the lachha paratha was made with pure maida, it was good, but I prefer the one made with wheat, or atleatmix flour.- Ulava Charu Veg pulao: Loved the spice combination in the bringal curry, just wow, I have to say the chef had a really good knowledge of spices. Generally its easy to make mistake in proportionsof spices, which ends up in food very spicy or lacking taste.- Pachi Mirchi Kodi pulao: Tender chicken pieces and great curry taste.Desserts: ** FAV PART ** Hands down amazing desserts, TBH I am not big fan of indian sweets, I am more of chocolate gal, but I just couldn’t stop after having just one spoon.Must try: Malai Phirni, Apricot delight (my fav of all), Gulab Jamun and Gajar ka halwa. In Mocktails I would suggest to must try: Pina colada and fruit punch.
