It is a nice place. You can go in group, play board games and chill till your food is getting prepared.Service was bit slow when we were only 2 in the restaurant. 🙁 nevertheless we were playing games so we didn’t mind. What we ordered:1. French fries 2. Grilled garden pizza – dry but okayish 3. Roasted hazelnut latte- was good.Declaimer: they charge 50 bucks per person per hour for board games. But they have a superb collection of board games. Go and check them out 🙂

Few days back at Dexter ArenaThis is a new place in town. I really liked their ambiance, seating capacity and arrangement, its just super. Really appreciate the work.Lets start with mushrooms; It was not up to the mark because of too much oil and tasteless, they can improve this please do focus on this. Then we ordered chicken 65, it was the best of the day and I really liked it. Totally impressed. Then penne pasta was also good, but they can do some garnishing and then it would look more better along with some olive on the top. Then my favourite cappuccino coffee which makes me feel relaxed after travelling long distance, it was really good.Last, but not least, one of my friends ordered shake which is also good and refreshing.Special note:They have children playing area, indoor games and play station and the most interesting thing which I liked the most is the collection of games.

As social life is transforming into more of a digitalized world, new coffee shops and bars encourage face-to-face interaction via the likes of Settlers of Catan and Connect Four. Uno, Monopoly, Scrabble, and Taboo. Do these words strike a chord? Remember those days when you used to hang out for hours with your friends to play these games over some light, fresh snacks? At first, “board-game café” sounds like the punch line to a joke about hipsters, a place where people with beards ironically argue over who gets to be the top hat. But in the past few years, board-game cafés have popped up across the globe & most of these cafes are really thriving. Playing board games is a perfect opportunity to connect & network with people. Combining exclusive board games in a cafe set up, Dexter’s Arena is one such place in Lingampally locality which opened up 6 months back in Hyderabad & can easily accommodate 30-40 pax at a time. It provides a range of 150+ board games across strategy, business, light-hearted fun, knowledge, and creativity. The games have been specially curated from all over the world. The staff takes great pride in selecting a game depending on the time and the size of the group. They also host some of the newest Playstation games with a complete setup where you can unleash the kid in yourself & have a gala of a time. The food menu too boasts of the foods for a fun day out, including pizzas, pasta, French fries, shakes, and smoothies. We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon & couldn’t be more delighted to spend a lazy afternoon on some games and friendly conversation over food. Starting off the fare with some classic Cappuccino that helped in setting up the right mood for a lunch followed by some more drinks such as Raspberry Rose Sparkler, Caramel Latte & Pina Colada Lemonade. Moving to the appetizers, Charcoal Roasted Mushrooms were served which did had the smoky flavor however the quantity of oil could have been put on a check. Next up was Thyme Scented Chicken which could have been a bit more flavourful as it lacked the needed texture and flavor. Chicken 65 was up next which was done quite well as it paired up well with the beverages; nicely cooked with the needed spices till perfection. Spring Rolls had the light, airy & crunchy texture with the necessary filling however it lacked garnishing. Penne Pesto was evenly cooked with the right amount of pesto sauce but again it didn’t have the presentation. Finishing up the mains with Tropical Pizza which had a thin crust base with the right amount of cheese evenly baked. Overall, Dexter’s Arena definitely has to up their game in terms of the food quality, presentation in this increasing F&B industry of Hyderabad to make a mark for itself. Well, times have changed. We barely have the time to sit and play board games or cards, nevertheless, if you still feel to hang out with friends for some time over some cool mind-boggling boards games with Coffee, do visit Dexter’s Arena.

The best part about this place is definitely the ambiance. It’s absolutely beautiful, and I fell in love with after entering it! It’s got a pretty and colorful decor, with a stunning wall art. Highlight of this place is their board games. They’ve got the biggest collection of board games I’ve ever come across in any cafe. From basic ones to super complex ones, they’ve got it all. They hold board games sessions every other Saturday, and anyone can be a part of it for free! Coming to food, I found it to be quite bland and quite a bit heavy on the oil. The dishes lacked garnishing, and that little oomph. They’re quite under-staffed, which caused a little slow service, for which the owners tried to make up for. The management is really courteous and accepted our feedback graciously. Overall, with a little tweaks to the food, this place will be one of the most popular ones on the block!
