Arabic food is as diverse as the Arab people. While Levantine dishes like shawarma and hummus have become familiar names in American culture, a lesser-known cuisine from the Arabian Peninsula has been flourishing for quite some time. Although Yemeni cuisine is often known for its iconic dish, Al Mandi, or its close counterpart, Mathbahi, the country has a variety of rich dishes inspired by its different regions. Yemeni dishes are often garnished with spices and greens native to the region. Many of the dishes revolve around chicken or lamb and are often accompanied by rice and bread. Marsala Food Company, a casual dining restaurant in DLF Gachibowli area placed right opp to DLF Gate 3, serves Middle Eastern & Indo-Western cuisine variants. Starting off with the setup of the place, nicely placed Chinese light in association with some modern seating setup make this place a great place for dining for the working professionals in the DLF area; moreover, it’s a to-go place for all the folks in the area as it can accommodate approx 40 persons. We happened to visit this place for an afternoon lunch & started off the fare with a hot N sour chicken soup, a nicely done silky, spicy, sour broth with chicken chunks, making it a perfect dish to uplift the taste buds.Moving onto the appetizers, we got mushroom red pepper, chicken lahori tikka & chicken pahadi kebab to begin with; the chicken tikka was marinated with the right amount of spices & tikka right done leaving the smoky flavour to the meat pieces, onto the pahadi kebab which is a new entrant in the menu of Marsala- this had boneless chicken pieces marinated in cashew nut paste, spices & flamed with spinach and tandoor’d till perfection and served with salad tasted really great as all the flavours ozzed out completely when consumed. Next up we got Paneer papdi which was cottage cheese chunks crumb-fried coated with in-house spices, a recommended veg appetizers from the menu. Onto the mains, we went for the Mandi variants which range from the tender and mild juicy Mutton to searingly hot Fried Mutton. Marsala’s version of Mandi is however different from the rest of the city of Hyderabad as the ‘Rice’ of the Mandi is very lightly smoked and is served with Patchipulusu and Raita, this makes it a great fusion of Arabic cuisine with Telugu flavours. We got the Grilled Chicken & Mutton Juicy marg mandi, both of these were nicely done, special mention goes to the Mutton juicy marg as the mutton pieces were really tender and it was so good that I was even ready to eat the bones that are there with the Mutton Pieces; even the rice was so flavorful since it had Raisins, almonds, Cashew and lovely fried onions which were icing on cake. Ending the fare with Gajar ka Halwa made out of grated red carrots, slow-cooked in ghee, milk, khoya and sugar level was remarkable, thereby giving us the perfect ending to our afternoon meal. Besides the fusion styled Mandi variants, Marsala Food Company also serves a mix of Indian and Continental that mostly fares well thereby accommodating taste buds of all styles & regions in one of the prime IT corridors of Hyderabad.

Marsala Food Company is located on 3rd Floor, Mahadev Complex on DLF Road, Gachibowli. It’s a spacious place yet it is fully occupied during lunch time. The seatings are very comfortable and the ambience is calming. Marsala company has a concept of fusing Indian with Foreign dishes. I tried here both Mutton & Chicken Chinese Fusion mandi. Surprisingly, it was one of the best mandi. The mandi rice had noodles masala flavour and the mutton was super tender and succulent. The fusion did work out really well.I also tried few starters; Pahadi Chicken and Lahori Chicken. All of them were tasty and delicious. Moreover, I tried Schezwan Chicken Noodles & Chicken Rice. They were tangy & spicy with good quality.Ended my feast with Gajar ka Halwa and Kheer. Highly recommended to finish of your great meal with these sweet desserts.
Visited marsala for lunch with couple of my friends. The place is quite decent, if we talk about ambience. Located just opposite to DLF , in Gachibowli, marsala sure a good place for team lunch as well. I starters we tried mushroom red pepper. Chicken lahori tikka, chicken pahadi kebab, and paneer papdi. I personally liked chicken pahadi kebab among all. In main course I tired theit chicken and mutton mandi. Mutton mandi was succulent. Definitely gave a try if you are visiting this place anytime soon. For served they served us gajar ka halwa, which was for sure a good dessert to finish our meal.
I went to Marsala food co. with my friends and the experience was amazing. The staff is cordial and will help you through the menu for ordering the best. Ambience is pleasant and soothing. We ordered sweet corn soup, crispy corn, Kung Pao mushroom and paneer papdi kebab. Sweet corn soup is a must try from this place. Mushroom and crispy corn from the starters was super delicious. For main course we ordered veg kofta curry and paneer lababdar with laccha paratha and masala Kulcha. The curries were creamy and tasty. I would definitely recommend masala Kulcha as the taste was on point. For desserts we had gajar ka halwa and kaddu ki kheer. Gajar ka halwa was a treat to have. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for a social get-together with friends and with family too. . For more foodie updates follow @thelazeezmizaaz on Instagram !
Unevenly cooked chicken tikkas and the curry was high on fat low on flavors. The portion size with my Gold order was also low, don’t know if this is on purpose to accommodate Gold or this is the regular portion.
