We had our son’s s 1st birthday party here in Siesta a week ago, and we are really satisfied with the overall experience and the event was indeed a memorable one for us and the guests as well. The manager Mr Varun who was coordinating with my husband on the event planning did an excellent job in arranging everything well on time. He also referred to an event management team for decoration who did a good job with the decorating part. The biggest positives with Hotel Siesta are their really delicious and well spread food in their buffet(abundant options to choose from) with special callout for the starters [heard amazing reviews about food from all the guests], the hotel and hall ambience esp with the sofas in front had a class look, good service in general by staff members, separate sections for event and buffet with access to open verandah was a convenient choice for guests, adequate parking space for ~50 cars etc.A minor area of improvement is to make sure at least couple of staff members are always available near the stage in case any help needed (my husband had to directly call the manager twice during the live event even for some quick help with cake cutting ceremony and stage arrangements which must be avoided).Overall, the cost may be a bit high than some other nearby hotels, however zero compromise on quality of service is assured here. We believe that for Buffets in general or for parties/get-togethers, Siesta will be a good choice if you are looking for a good all round package with best value for your money.
Selected this place for a birthday event with no knowledge of how it will turn out to be. Fortunately the event turned out to be a great one. With a variety of food included in the menu, it tasted amazing. To name a few, chefs there prepared amazing Bhuna gosht and white pasta apart from others which also tasted amazing. Very nice ambience, both the party hall and the dining hall. Staff were also very professional and timely in responding to our requirements. Overall very much satisfied.
I visited this restaurent for a special lunch organised by HFC on December 2015 for the opening of this restaurant.Going by the theme -authentic Hyderabadi cuisine their decor was in accordance .To begin with, they had a fruit punch as welcome drink which was decent. Among the three Soup choices -Nahari Paya,Mutton and one veg soup -I only liked the mutton one the other two were not upto the mark.In the salad and starter spread the chiken tikka salad was the best followed by lukhmi, soya chop, paneer tikka-there was a dahi onion salad which was unappetizing. The Pita bread could have been better. The main course consisted of biriyanis –mutton, and the surprise- Turkey biryani!!!New concept, but it can be further improved: the texture of the Turkey did not came out nice. The dry fruit pulao was aromatic and tasty which went well with Dum Ka Murgh. The mutton kheema was ok.There were other items which needs much improvement like Dalcha ,Ande ka Khageena. In desserts nothing was gr8 except Double Ka Meetha and I loved the Mango Sandesh which was refreshing to the palate. The show stopper for the day was Patthar kA gosht (live counter)which had the right tenderness and flavour .Now coming to the theme of the day, there were very few dishes which met the authenticity. Needs improvement in the Dessert section as well as the Main course.Service can be improved as well.Ambiance 3.5/5Soups 2.5/5Starters / live counters-4/5Main Course-3.5/5Dessert 3/5Service 3.5/5Value for Money 3.5/5
I attended the launch party of Umammi (hosted by Hyderabad Foodies Club) on Sunday 27th December. As it was a special launch event, the buffet spread was huge. The starters were mostly live (on the counter) and I liked Patthar ka gosth and chicken malai patthar most. These two were the best dishes of the buffet. Paneer tikka was decent. Haleem and dalcha were disappointing.I did not have much in main course, apart from only biriyani which was decent. In desserts, there was aloo ki halwa which was a traditional hyderabadi cuisine. It was my first experience with this dish, so rating would not be justified. Double ka meetha was good and semaiya kheer was awesome.Overall, a decent experience with lots of scopes for improvement.
(Food Category – Veg/Non-Veg, Status – Halal)First visit to this place was today on the 27th of Dec for a Hyderabad foodies event.Ambiance wise the place was good from the outside and the inside We occupied what looked like a banquet hall turned into the buffet zone. Seating and the dine -in setup was nice. The buffet spread was amazing in terms of the dishes that were being served but they need serious improvement in terms of taste and quality that they provide. Not to mention the service issues.Welcome Drink – Aam Ras was okay and Fruit Punch was the most loved item of all Soups section had Mutton Marag which was nothing compared to what is traditionally made. Paya Shorba was a little better. The soups were cold as the direction of the a/c was facing the food , either a design issue or the placement of the food was wrong. Same issue occured with Haleem where we got haleem which was cold and then the second round had more issues with it. Salads : 4-5 varieties of it , only tried the chicken tikka salad which was the best oneStarters : Lukhmi A traditional hyderabadi delicacy available at most muslim marriages – One piece was good and I went in for the second and it turned out to be very oily – No consistencyPathar ka ghost – First round was excellent and then the second round had him make things in a hurry which didn’t get the meat cooked properly. The murgh kebab had the same issue again , first helping was good and the second was badTali Hui Machli – First instance it came out without any salt , 2 plates of it had to be sent back. we were served with a fresh batch and it was just plain batter fried fish pieces without any taste at all. Gave up on the item completely.Coming to the Main Course:Turkey Biryani – a novel attempt at it , but failed to take off in my opinion as it was not cooked properly.Unlike chicken, turkey meat takes time to cook and become soft which was missing Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani was okay but the dish had generous helping of garam masala esp. cinnamom Ande ka khageena – The traditional variety of egg which is cut into small pieces was replaced with minced version of it . The kheema which was kept next to it was very similar to it in look and feel. Mahi Kalia (Khatti Machli) – Original dish is made with fish and most of the hyderabadi household’s make it with mutton. The gravy was fine and the fish was tender Dry Fruit Biryani – It tasted and felt like pulao to me Desserts: Double Ka Meetha,Khubani Ka Meetha , Aloo Ki Phirni, Semiya Ka Meetha,Kaddu Ki Kheer were okay. Only standout was the kaddu ki kheer and aloo ki phirni Overall: Service issues , Food being cold, consistency in taste are the things to work on. Most of the dishes lacked the hyderabadi flavor palatejournals.com
Date : 27 DEC 2015Location : 6th Floor, Siesta Hi-tech Business Hotel before Kims HospitalVisit Scenario : Hyderabad Foodies Club (HFC) Food EventAmbiance: 4/5On entrance gives u a vibrant (most of us would have loved dis pic of charminar) charminar wallpaper look and invites you into the hyd isshhhtyle dining experience. Neatly twined White n Yellow clothline tables and ample space, I felt the ambiance was right and tight. Cutlery and table seating were all ample and comfortable.Food & Quality : 3/5It was a decent buffet spread:Welcome Drink – Aam Ras (OK) and Fruit Punch (Good) Soups :Mutton Marag (Good would hv ben much better if served hot) Hyderabad Paya Shorba (Good again was served cold)Haleem (Good, 2nd serving was horrible) as we asked for repeatSalads :5 types (I loved d chicken tikka Salad n Penne Pasta cocktail salad)Starters :Lukhmi (Kheema filled puff pastry) – DecentHyderabadi Pathar Ka Gosht – ExcellentDum Ka Kheema Fry – AverageTali Hui Machli (Chilly fish Fry) – Served saltless n on feedback came back fixed – still lacked flavor – AverageMethi Malai Murgh Kebab – GoodSoya Chop – AverageAnchari Paneer Tikka – GoodMain Course:Turkey Biryani – Decent Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani – AverageHyderabadi Dum Ka Murgh – Good (chicken to me could have been cooked better)Ande Ka Khageena (Egg Kheema) – BadMahi Kalia (Khatti Machli) – AverageDalcha (Gosht) & Dry Fruit Biryani – Average againDesserts: Everthing was decent and goodDouble Ka Meetha,Khubani Ka Meetha , Aloo Ka Phirni, Semiya Ka Meetha,Kaddu Ka Kheer and Ice CreamStars : Pathar Ka Gosht, Methi Malai Murgh Kebab, Fruint Punch Paya Shorba (could have been served hot), Kaddu Ka KheerOverall to me , all dishes were decent with very few stand out dishes . Many dishes were cold and some lacked salt & on feedback fixed up which should have been taken care on first hand. Desserts were a let down for me being a desserts lover .Nothing to me screamed for repeat in specific and I guess thats why I liked it but now really LOVED the food. High time Siesta starts thinking about serving some unique n one of a kind dishes in their buffet that stands out for foodies like us to come back again smile emoticonService : 2.5/51) Service was chaotic as they couldn’t control and co-ordinate serving and handling customer calls for re-fills / clean ups. I personally believe they could or rather should have handled far better2) For a foodie group of around 60 only 3 servers, any simple maths would have told the supervisors its not enough, even after feedback they didnt seem to work on it3)Lady operations or floor supervising manager (not sure) was just in the front entrance posing for pics and ramp walking around while the other 2 were trying to handle the demands and calls of hungry customers . not sure what value is added in that. To me thats unacceptable, its your team and all should work in unison4) The best to me was Prakash bhai (steward) who was always smiling and serving us on our request(s) multiple times. He made our overall experience a tad better than what it ended to be.Gaps:1) No Unique or call out dishes in the menu2) Desserts are let down3) proper co-ordinated customer engagement and service model (still very amateurish)4) Music was too loud for me. I understand you wanted to give the hyd feel but I dont mind it in the background not hammering my ears when I’m trying to dine5) Better customer talks and engagemetn should be devised to get very constructive feedback in initial stages.I have had pleasant experiences prior to this in siesta and so definitely coming back but you guys need to make something UNIQUE to make us think about visits again n again and I think its right time to execute it.Ambiance – 4/5Food & Quality – 3/5Service – 3/5Overall Rating – 3.5/5HOPE D FEEDBACK HELPS IN IMPROVING AND PROVIDING MORE HOLISTIC DINING EXPERIENCEThanks to lovely admins SanVi and Rahul Basu | BongfoOodie for making us smiling and engaged throughout the event 🙂 was a lovely sunday brunch with fellow foodies 🙂 gastrohogger.com
