Been to this place a couple of times. They serve subtle flavoured Chinese food which makes it a little close to authentic. Have tried Shanghai rolls, wanton soup, pan fried noodles with hunan sauce, veg Manchurian, veg manchow soup, chilli baby corn, Shangtung noodles, fried rice. All of them were quite good. Particularly the wanton soup, mild yet flavoured. Ice creams are good too. When it comes to ambience, they have got good red interiors giving the classic Chinese touch. Value for money is decent. If slow service n too loud music at times can be ignored, it’s definitely worth a visit for anyone who is tired of eating masaledar Chinese.
My sister loves this place. I don’t know why. She even have parcels of soup sent to her place from China chef. I have eaten here quite a few times. One thing you can be sure of is a long wait for your food. Once even our waiter took down a wrong order. But that’s okay, it happens even to the best of us. Food quality is good for the price range; almost comparable with nan king. Usually they recommend more than people can regularly eat and then you are left over with a lot of food. So be careful while ordering. It’s everything else you may expect from a Chinese restaurant. They are open till 11, but take last orders at 10:30; one of the only few Chinese restaurants open till that time. The ambience inside is dark and dingy; maybe they have made it like the movies. But it’s cool, I like it, but others may not. The reddish tinge adds to the experience.
had taken their crispy chicken manchuria for the lunch the taste was normal but not that great the authenticity and flavors of true Chinese were missing in it the person who prepared it didn’t follow up the instructions properly given though had a pathetic experience though quantity given was also less for the price they charge its better to opt for road side Chinese stalls
tried veg manchow soup and baby corn masala. totally waste no value for money. will never try. even street fast food is much better in taste n price
Not the fanciest of the restaurants, but they serve real good food here. They serve decent Chinese food and don’t fake the veggies. They do use Chinese veggies and make the best out of what’s available to them. I’ve tried quite a few things(vegetarian) and never have been disappointed with them. It’s a little shady place but will keep you happy with food.
Opted for takeaway last week.. Chose Chinese chicken chopsuey, chicken fried rice and chilli chicken gravy for main course and crispy honey chicken as starters.. We really loved the chopsuey and the starter.. Fried rice and chilli chicken were okay too.. I had ordered over phone and told them to keep less spicy and that was followed.. Packing was good.. Taste, service and value for money 4/5.. Good experience!
