The ambience includes primarily blue and white combination with a vintage lookCheesy Nachos always makes a great appetizer. The chips are thin and crunchy topped up with baked beans, chopped tomatoes and onions, seasonings, sour cream seved with yummlicious Salsa sauceChocolate Brownie Shake with the perfect blend of chocolate and brownie and amazingly rich in tasteMargherita pizza was cheesy and scrumptious with the freshness of tomatoes and basil leaves. It is simple and yet tastes so good
Beautiful place, lovely food and love the service. Was here a couple of days ago, the ambience was so refreshing, the theme includes primarily blue and white which is a beautiful combo and gives a pleasant treat to eyes. The props and furniture used, quite complement the ambience.Started my meal with the Mocchaccino, it was pretty decent and could’ve been a lil better with a stronger flavour. Mocktails were pretty good especially strawberry mojito and Masala mojito, the latter one is a personal recommendation. The Oreo Shake is a honorable mention in this category.Coming to the starters Chicken 65 tasted good, the Sriracha fierry chicken wings tasted quite good, While the chicken popcorn was decent, the cheesy Garlic bread tasted pretty good. You can also try their cheesy Nachos which was quite appreciated by my folks, if you’re a fan.Coming to the main course, the pizzas tasted decent especially pesto chicken and Goan chorizo. The pastas are pretty good, The Mac and Cheese with Chicken Bacon was the best in this area, inspite of not being a fan of red sauce pasta I have loved the Arabiata Pasta, Do try this one for sure. The Peri Peri chicken steak was also decent.Ended the main course with Green Thai curry and Rice.. the Thai curry was literally the best I’ve had so far, it was amazingly cooked, great flavor, lovely balance and perfect texture. This is a must try and a strong recommendation from my side. Finally in the desserts we had one of a kind Chocolate mousse which was so thick and it was just fantastic, please do try this if you’re here. This place is a solid 4.5 and managed to get a few personal recommendations from my side, great place for chilling and also good for coffee dates.Tried Cafe Nook? Follow Me on Instagram @BeingHydFoodieCafé Nook, Earlier it was Nookad and now they’ve changed this into a Café, is a brand new place in town located at Sindhi Colony. You don’t get to see many Proper cafe in an area like Secunderabad, this is the first and amazing cafe. The place is stunning, small and cute with a Vintage look. The interiors are so comfortable, Great lighting and Colourful cutlery which was very attractive. The spot is really good in this area, as it’s easily visible. Though you don’t get to see during day time, Night times it’s ever more better with excellent Lighting, A little romantic feel.We were here for lunch 3 days ago with bunch of friends, This was in our bucket list for quite long time as we couldn’t visit inspite of staying very near to Café Nook.Started with few mocktails Blue Hawaiian, orange Mojito, cranberry cooler, Mangoberry Cooler. Very nicely presented and colourful, Some of them had excess squash which made it sweet. Otherwise it was refreshing!Peri Peri chicken Popcorn: Crunchy and Strong taste of Peri Peri, delicious and melt in mouth. The dip served along with this was so amazing. This is their famous appetizer and a must try.Salt N Pepper Cottage Cheese with Burnt Garlic: Best paneer we’ve had in a very long time. This is not the Regular frozen Paneer what they’ve used, they do have a Vendor who supplies them. So soft and Tender, tossed in Spices and herbs, Garlic, Gave an Excellent taste and Melt in mouth, cubes of Onions and Bell peppers were tossed, had slight Crunch to it. Very well Seasoned.Chicken 65: A Favourite starter of a Pakka Hyderabadi Like me. Damn delicious, just like how we make it at home or we get outside in Chinese Bandis. Chicken was so soft and tender, spicy and Excellent in taste. Well this item doesn’t need any more intro, all I can say is Highly Recommended.Tomato and basil Bruschetta: the bread was soft and toasted perfectly. The toppings of were chopped tomatoes with seasoning and different vinegars.Fiery Sriracha Chicken Wings: Spicy, juicy, succulent and little sweet. Absolutely amazing, served with a dip which is made of Blue cheese. Really loved it.Their Garlic breads are must try, very cheesy and soft. One of the bests!Tempura Prawns: Fresh shrimps, coating of crumbs and perfectly deep fried and served with sweet chilli dip. Prawns were brilliant, would recommend to sea food lovers.Veg mix Platter: assorted deep fried items like onion rings, potato Wedges, Veg Cheese poppers, Deep fried Mushrooms along with french fries. Rings and wedges were good, Mushrooms and veg poppers were somehow Disappointing, there were no seasoning properly and had no taste. Hope it’s improved soon.Cheesy Nachos with Chicken: In house speciality, crunchy and really good in taste. Chicken is soft and tender.Pesto A La Genovese Pasta: Not a great fan of Pesto pasta, But this was worth trying out. Cheesy and creamy, penne was boiled perfectly. Definitely Recommended!Penne Arrabiata: Most tangy, spicy and Flavourful pasta ever. This has to be the best pasta we had in recent times. Garlic bread was fantastic again, but the pasta was winner. Really loved it.Half N half Pizza’s:Paneer tikka, onion, Capsicum and Artichoke, olives, caper, onion. The crust was thin and crunchy, pizza sauce was tangy. Toppings were loaded with veggies and tasted really good.Roasted BBQ Chicken Golden Corn, Pesto chicken: this one tasted better than the veg version. chicken was really good, pesto Pizza is a must try I’d try. They have only 2 skates in their menu. Caramel Oreo Shake and Brownie Shake, Both were really nice and Not too thick. Shake lovers should try out.The appetizers and drinks and good and it was time for the main course, much awaited for this because the menu is very unique, you don’t get in many places. We didn’t really expect that it would turn out very interesting.Malfatti, A Famous Italian dish. Soft and Melt in Mouth cottage cheese which was Well seasoned and Perfectly cooked,The Sauce was Creamy, tangy, Garlicky and Peppery with a Little Smokey Flavour. The combo of Cottage cheese and The sauce was incredible. Presented with Drizzle of Cream and Garlic Bread. One of the Outstanding dishes I’ve had this year, already had it twice and found it very same in terms of taste. Absolutely Scrumptious.Peri Peri Chicken Steak: The Best dish of the day! Oh dear, What A Mind Blowing Dish. Haven’t had anything such in any other place. The sauce is very spicy as it’s made with Peri peri, Mashed Potatoes which usually is not seasoned in many places, this was the first and perfect place where we found mashed potatoes really good! The chicken steak was Damn soft, tender and Flavourful. Juicy and spicy, served with grilled assorted veggies. Combination of all these together was very scrumptious. The best dish in their menu, highly recommended! A bowl of this which satisfy your needs ♥️Chicken Thai Greeny curry with Steamed Rice: Thai curry made with coconut milk with chicken and veggies. Creamy and Excellent in taste. Another dish which was really good today from the main course. We prefer the main course than the Appetizers as it totally made our day!Desserts:Tiramisu, Chocolate Mousse and Choco Lava: All the 3 desserts were equally fantastic. Best way to end our day!Overall the experience at nook was really good. The service was quick, staff was humble. Sandeep the co founder was a great host to us, the manager and Service guys were good, they took good care of us. The prices here are reasonable and pocket friendly place.
Besides the never ending street food stalls in sindhi colony, there lies a modern cafe ‘Cafe Nook’ with cozy sittings, classy vibes, nicely done interiors and an elaborate menu.We were invited for a blogger’s session and the review for the place is as follows.Mocktails:The ‘Oreo Caramel Shake’ and ‘Chocolate Brownie Shake’ were amazingly rich and perfect for chocolate lovers. The ‘Pineapple and Banana Milkshake’ had an interesting mix of flavours. The ‘Masala Cocktail’ was cool and refreshing that packed a punch. The ‘Strawberry Cooler’ was my favourite out of the lot and is a must try. Appetisers:The ‘Chicken 65’ was spicy, tangy, delicious and hot, garnished with fresh coriander and green chillies was a perfect southern delight. The ‘Cheese Garlic Bread’ had bread toasts which were crispy on edges, soft on the inside, generously covered with melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese, sprinkled with fresh herbs was the perfect starter snack. The ‘Watermelon Bocconcini Basil and Balsamic reduction’ had an interesting twist, with the sweetness of the watermelon dices balanced by the tartness of the soft buffalo cheese and balsamic reduction alongside the freshness of basil is a perfect starter for health freaks. The ‘ Salt and Pepper Cottage Cheese’ had crunchy paneer tossed in a mild oriental spices garnished with fresh spring onions was again one of my absolute favourites. The ‘Sriracha Chicken Wings’ served with the signature blue cheese dip had chicken wings coated in authentic thai sauce that had a signature flavour of chilli peppers, garlic and vinegar. The ‘Cheesy Nachos’ had a burst of flavours thanks to the crispy nachos alongside finely diced onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapeños with a baked beans sauce ,chicken chunks and cheese. The ‘Peri peri Chicken Popcorn’ were bite sized, extremely crunchy, perfectly spiced served alongside a cheese dip.The ‘Garlic Butter Thyme Prawns’ had confusing flavours and were not to my taste.Main Course:The ‘Pesto a la Genovese’ had penne served in a sauce made from basil, olive oil with loads of grated Parmesan cheese that gave the creaminess to the subtle signature dish. The ‘Pasta in Arrabbiata sauce’ had penne in a tangy spicy red pepper tomato paste with Italian seasoning. The ‘Mac N Cheese’ had crispy chicken bacon in an ultra cheesy sauce that heightened the flavours of the basic dish to a next level. The ‘Pesto Chicken’ pizza had signature classic flavours. The ‘Chicken Ham and Pineapple’ pizza was an excellent combination. The ‘BBQ chicken with golden corn’ was perfect. ‘Dynamite’ pizza had chicken pepperoni which was unique. All the pizzas had a fine thin crust and loaded with cheese with interesting toppings. The ‘Thai Green Curry’ served with streamed rice packed a punch with authentic green curry paste simmered in rich coconut milk with thai spices like galangal and lemon grass was my go to dish. The ‘Chicken Steak’ was served with mushroom and pepper sauce on a bed of potato mash and steamed veggies that was simple and delicious. The ‘Cottage Cheese Malfatti’ true to it’s name, had cottage cheese balls in a tangy tomato base with fresh sage served with freshly toasted garlic bread.Desserts:The ‘Chocolate Mousse’ had a very rich cocoa flavour profile achieved by reducing the fine dark chocolate, giving it a thick and creamy texture. The ‘Chocolate Cake’ had a mildly crunchy outer coating with a molten chocolate filling that was well balanced by the rich vanilla cream served on the side.Ambiance: 4/5 Food:5/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Overall: 5/5
Cafe Nook is a place which we happened to visit by chance and trust me we weren’t disappointed. We ordered green Thai curry with steamed rice which was good but the curry could have been a little thicker in consistency. Penne pasta in mix sauce was upto the mark. Reasonably priced.Looking forward to visiting this place again.
