I visited viva couple of times for lunch and dinner while I was staying in vivanta. I really liked the salad section which dones a variety of them. The grilled chicken and fish options make good starters. The chicken biryani was disappointing. Main course looks good. There are not enough vegetarian variety in starters. Also desserts usually contain egg. Desserts get repeated daily. Lesser new things. Staff is courteous. There are some authentic hyderabadi dishes also.
Decent ambiance, courteous staff and good food.. only thing is bit on expensive side for the standards of food they serve.!

They have the option of à la carte and buffet , we went with the former .Mongolian delights was a real delight , the taste was quite new . The staff is very polite and decent ( it’s Taj duh ! )
Although the ambience and the service reflect their 5 star category, the food spread does not live up to the cost nor the brand. They have a limited spread and the feeling of having an elaborate spread is very much evident. We visited this place for a Lunch buffet on a Tuesday and most of the place was empty. Although the menu keeps changing on a regular basis, the spread on our visit day was pretty limited. There were two soups to start off: Corn chowder and Chicken egg drop. Both of them tasted good. Coming to the Veg starters they had Gobi and Paneer Tikka. Paneer tikka tasted good but the gobi one was too crunchy and bit oily. Chicken fry, Schezwan fish and a variant of fish pakodi all of them tasted good as well. Chicken Biryani was meh and can be completely ignored. The Fish curry was disappointing. The veg spread had peas pulav, sambar, pappu, fryums, chilli garlic noodles, assorted veggies etc which too were okaish. Chicken Pizza and Chicken pasta were served on the Table. While the pizza tasted amazing, the pasta was pretty dry and lacked the tasteThe salads section infact was pretty good with Chicken sausage salsa, Prawns Tempura salad, couscous salad, Beetroot and carrot salad, Creamy Pineapple ( Which was delicious) , Dahi wada , Aloo chat etc. The Desserts were a sort of savior with Cut fruits, Rajbhog, Vegan cake, Dry fruit brownies, Moong dal halwa, Lemon cake, chocolate cake and french pudding. The brownies and moong dal halwa were pick of the lot. The Fresh mango juice was the best I had in the recent days. They have a huge scope of improvement considering the other 5 star buffets in this price range and its brand value
