If you’re looking for good and cheap Chinese food at Eatstreet and don’t care much about the ambiance, then this is the go-to place. We had a non-veg combo. They gave a generous quantity of noodles, chilly chicken, chicken manchurian and a coke. The food was hot, tasty enough and costed just 250 bucks. Like any other food court, it’s self-service. There’s not much of an ambiance, unless if you’re lucky enough to get one of those seats which overlooks the Hussain Sagar Lake. Thankfully for us, we did manage to find a lake-side seat which was an added benefit. Definitely worth a try.
We ordered non- veg combo meal. The taste of the veg fried rice was pretty good. It wasn’t oily at all and seemed hygienic. The chilly chicken was decent too. But, the quantity of the chicken served was quite less compared to the rice. Otherwise, the food was good and quantity was sufficient for two. Quite an affordable option for people visiting Hussain Sagar.
Wok of the town serves good Chinese food, but it is not spectacular or anything. Their menu is small and simple, just the way it should be at Eat street. The combos are good with a nice selection of items for the Veg and Non Veg one but they’ve always lacked in something, (Salt?) I believe. Nevertheless, it’s not a bad eat at all and food is VFM and is quite hygienic. instagram.com
If you’re on the lookout for some Chinese food while in the famous Eat Street, you should head to Wok of the Town or simply change your mind and settle for something else. The options here are pretty limited, so we had no choice but to head to the Wok of the Town. One of the last few counters in the long line of restaurants. We ordered the Non-Veg Combo, which came with a small portion of noodles, chicken fry and manchurian. The chicken was a little dry, but alright.Overall I would say the food was a little tasteless, but I guess that’s the best you can get at this place.Priced at Rs.260, I found the combo to be a little overpriced, considering the quantity, quality of food and the place. alittlebitofcaro.wordpress.com
I tried this place only once till date. A group of four room mates went together to enjoy the Hussain sagar area and felt hungry at Eat Street. I prefer to go for frankie but that day decided to try some Chinese at that place. Though the place dowsn;t look that great to me but still went for it. I asked my friend to order on my behalf but has to be something non veg. Order was given but they never told me what they ordered. After sometime my friend got the items ordered and placed it on the table. I saw four plates with few chicken and veg items. Plates looks good. Serving portion was OK. I asked them what is this. They told veg and non veg combo. The food was OK – both the rice and chicken items but I felt quality needs to be improved and pricing is little on higher side. But, you can’t help at Eat Street. Service was bit slow but manageable. We gossiped till then and sighted in and around 😀 Overall, experience is OK. You can try once.
