Located at Banjara Hills ,diagonal to the Consulate of Middle East and they have turned a nice mansion into a restaurant. They have outdoor seatings as well as upstair and rooftop seating for private dining. The place has been themed on the basis of Middle Eastern architecture.Bright and lot of greenery and they have two fountains ,makes you feel relaxed for a nice meal. They have an elaborate menu and we went in a group to try their starters ,main course we and dessertsWe started off with some soup and it was a Mutton Soup tasted like a shorba and I could imagine having a clear soup with the aroma of the mutton and a bit of garlic but having the smoothness of the clear soup.Goes well with their famous bread which is crisp has a texture like Pita Bread but not like a Papad or those stretchy naans ,even the colder ones retained the taste something to do with the dough..loved it.This went well with their Banjan Barani a dish made out of Brinjal seemed like a curry and a pickle. This was followed by their Afghani platter which had Chicken Wings,Mutton Chaps,Chicken Jeera Tikka,Mutton Kobideh .All of them had the Afghani middle Eastern spices and had them in right quantity. The Afghani Panner Tikka served with Pineapple also came out to be very nice and the combo was also great. This went well with the mocktails such as watermelon cooler and the Pan Cooler was also nice .The Blue Caprioaska and the Paan Cooler both were nice. There were main course which were equally tasty and nicely spicedZafrani Pulao nicely flavoured and it gets nicely with the Chickpea Curry clubbed with Mutton.Mutton Pulao was also spot on and went well with the curries .all their rice items are very good and portion is also good enough ,they are loaded with mutton and chicken which is soft and juicyWe were served the Phirni and Caramel Custard in the dessert Caramel Custard looked stunning ,had a texture like pudding and was nice ,Phirni could have been better need garnishing. But surprisingly the Churros at this place are so crispy and good and even their brownies with Ice creams

Ariana by Safi serves incredible, authentic Afghani cuisine that will surely captivate your senses. The ambiance is breathtaking with a peaceful and relaxing environment. As you enter, you are welcomed by an elegant and welcoming entrance foyer that will catch your attention at first glance. There is a minimal indoor set-up with warm lighting that’ll transfer you to another place entirely. Spread across 3 floors where you can also host parties, and then you have a terrace lounge with a garden area. There’s also a beautiful outdoor arrangement which is where I and my friends had our lunch. It was splendid! We started off with the amazing MUTTON SOUP. It was very essential before the heavy meal that came after. It really opened up our appetite and boosted our taste buds. It was delicious and healthy!Amongst the starters, we first had Veg Manchuria with an Afghani breadbasket. It was just superb! We then had a few kebab dishes; Mutton kobeda kebab, Chicken Wings, Mutton chops and Jeera Kebab. Every dish was perfectly cooked and super scrumptious. Mutton chops and kebabs were so good that we ordered them twice. It was an ambrosial treat! We also had Paneer Tikka and Pineapple from the veg starters. Sweet and biting! In drinks, we had Orange Mojito, Orange and cranberry, Watermelon, Lemon and ginger, Virgin mojito and Pan mojito. All of these were really refreshing. I personally liked Orange and cranberry very much. Then for the main course, we had Zafran rice, Mutton pulao and Chicken pulao with Mutton do pyaza and Palak curry. Both pulaos were absolutely amazing, and they tasted great with the curries. Zafran rice had a strong flavor of saffron, which was actually essential in every Afghani dish. It was pretty heavy, but in taste, it was quite good. The entire main course was filled with luscious delicacies. We had 4 very indulgent desserts; Choco Lava cake with vanilla ice cream, Churros with chocolate sauce, Caramel custard and Afghani Phirni. So good!In the beginning just as we started with opening up our appetite with the Mutton soup, at the end we relaxed with a refreshing Saffron Tea. It was a beautiful lunch experience at Ariana by Safi, and I would highly recommend everyone to visit it.

Yesterday’s lunch at star property Ariana by SafiLet’s start with ambiance. I cannot describe about the ambiance it is just amazing. When I entered it gave a positive vibe and a never to go back feeling. Really amazing, I was very impressed with the ambiance.Let’s talk about food; Ariana by Safi was started about a year back with an amazing menu. They serve pure Afghani food, and the staff and chef are also from Afghanistan. They have a wide range of pulaos and kebabs which you must try.I was there for lunch with some of my friends and we started with mutton bone soup along with Afghani bread. The combination was just wonderful and the bread specially, you can have without anything so soft. Then we had some of their starters, in that we had Chicken jeera tikka, Hariyali kebab, Murgh tikka , Chicken juja kebab, juja chicken wings, Mutton Khobida Kebab, Chopan kebab (mutton chops). Chicken jeera Tikka; I liked this most because it gave a proper flavor of jeera, and then we had Hariyali kebab and chicken juja kebab, both were perfectly cooked with rightly balanced spices.A must try dish from my side is mutton khobida kebab and mutton chops, both are in my favorites list and I’m sure everyone will like it.Then we had some refreshing mocktails; orange mojito, watermelon mojito, lemon and Ginger mojito and blue angel mojito, all of them were refreshing. Then we had some lip smacking main course; Mutton kabuli pulao, chicken Dum pukh and saffron rice. Mutton kabuli pulao; I loved it because I used to have this weekly at my home. But little bit improvement needed in the Mutton as it was not tender. It can be cooked more. Come to chicken Dum pukh this was a new dish for me and it was the best.Saffron rice is upto the mark, and with the garnish of saffron on top it gives more flavour to that. With this we had some curries like mutton do pyaza and chicken Korma, they were a perfect combination with rice.I always end my dinner with some delightful desserts. Here, I had caramel Custard and phirni. Caramel Custard was good but phirni can be improves.P.s. This review is based on my opinion
