Average cafe. Though the Fab India outlets have great range of products sadly their cafes are a big let down. The menu seems to be hurriedly made. The choice of items on the menu leaves a lot to be desired. The service is pathetic. When we were there the number of waiters were more than the people in the cafe and yet we were served after a good wait of 35 minutes. We had ordered Gatte ki subzi and biryani (because cumin rice was not available). The subzi was too spicy and the biryani was too dry. Awful experience
I call this a perfect cafe. A place where you can peacefully sit and have a coffee and also shop. This is one of my favourite cafes. Love the minimal decor.Visited this place a several times now and i always go back to place.Food : Veg Dimsums : They are my favourite here. The dip is perfect and it’s absolutely filling. A must try.Samosa : : They are not too oily , nor too dry, love the mixture of samosa. Eggless Walnut Brownie: This is again my favourite here. A must must try.Coffee : I make sure i order a. Latte every time i visit.Final Review: Ambience : This place has minimal decor and looks great. Though space is an issue sometimes.Food : Every item tastes good here.Service: Fast and helpful Pricing: High on pockets.Recommended
For more food update, follow me on instagram: TheappetizingfactorA newly launched café in Banjara Hills by FabIndia, which is totally into being healthy and organic! For a junk food lover like me, this is a totally opposite place. But at the same time I was intrigued to have what they have to offer to make my lifestyle be a little healthier! Located inside a FabCentre store, my shopaholic buds were already tickling to do some window shopping, which I totally did after ordering the food. The place, having kinda a tropical vibe to it, was so bright and somehow had a positive vibe to it! The decor was minimal, having some plants & some food photo hanging on the wall. I really felt I could just open a book & sit at the corner at chill. The first thing I was extremely happy to see was that they cater to people having different food preferences, like vegan, or someone on keto diet & even for lactose intolerance ones(which I am, but this is the first time I saw in a restaurant offering). And instead of using refined sugar, oil, wheat or flour, they have alternatives like jaggery, ghee, jack fruit seed flour, etc. We started of with some juices:♥ Ganne ka juice: Was very refreshing.♥ Wild berry♥ Turmeric Tonic♥ Glow hydrationStarters:♥ Baked Dal Samosa with chutney trio:♥ Spicy Sprout filled Golgappa: stuffed with aloo & bean sprouts, this was not spicy at all.♥ Beetroot lotus stem tikka chaat: Topped with curd & the chutneys, this was my fav from veg starters.♥ Shakarkandi Tarbooj Salad♥ Nutty Quinoa Salad♥ Mutton Galouti in a mini kuttu bread: The best from the appetizers. The Galouti was very nicely done.♥ Chicken momo: So instead of using maida, they used jack-fruit seed flour, which I am totally in for. But that tasted really bad! The stuffing was good, but the outer part, literally had to use force to tear it!Main course:Was a bit disappointed with some in starters, but the main course made up for it.Each of the items were equally delicious. The Singara flour & quinoa chapatis were very new to me, and felt a bit off, but the multi grained paratha was very good.Had:♥ Chicken tikka makhani: This was made without cream, but tasted absolutely the same. Perfect & a must have.♥ Punjabi saag with paneer♥ Dal Makhani♥ Quinoa Chapati♥ Singara Flour Chapati♥ Multi grained paranthaDesserts:♥ Mango cashew tart: The mango topped with cashew, everything made it extremely sweet.♥ Chocolate cake: So this is my favourite item from this entire menu! Don’t forget to try this.Being a pancake lover, tried the pancake from kids menu too, and it was really good. The prices of this place being largely on the higher side, which is justified given the organic things they were using! On a Saturday afternoon, when I went, it was jam packed all the while I was there. Be it a trend to go organic or actually people are concerned about their health, this is a place to go to for that!
If hygiene and health are your top priorities and don’t mind taking a bit of a hit with taste, then Fab Café is for you. We were pretty happy until the starters but neither of the curries had any taste. The chapatis are hard and thick and were not easy to consume. Biryani, again has a distinct taste and not something a regular Huderabadi may like. We didn’t dare to order the desserts coz of the main course disaster and our 2 year old demon son was acting way too cranky today.1) Glow Hydration2) Wild Berry3) Berry Blast4) Mutton Galouti on a mini kuttu bread5) Chicken Momos6) Mutton Samosa7) Baked potato smileys8) Singhara floor and Quinoa chapathis9) Lucknowi Cashew Mutton Korma10) Parsi Chicken Dhansak11) Chicken Brown rice biryani.
Fancy junk is taking a back seat slowly, its not off the charts completely but eating healthy is the new trend. Its not just fashion but its something that your body would relish.Fabcafe has a straight point where they try to incorporate healthier and nutritious alternatives to the regulars. They have interesting alternatives like jackfruit flour, banana flour, millets , palm jaggery. They use no artificial flavours and colours as well.lets check them out #hyderabadfoodexplorer #fabcafeAmbience:The ambience is something I loved, its got a clean, simple yet elegant interiors. One side has a bright blue finish, the other is a plain white wall with indoor plants , shelves etc.The furniture again is basic wooden one but extremely cozy and comfortable.Food and beverage:We started with a nutty quinoa salad, the portion is more than suffient as a total meal. The generous amounts of nuts gave it the required crunch. The precooked quinoa had a nice flavour, the pomegranate seeds added a touch of sweetness as well. Tearing the lettuce to Small pieces would have been better, apart from that it was all positives. The star of the meal was the mutton galauti on kuttu bread. The kebab was extremely smooth, as it was supposed to be. Subte flavour and melt in mouth texture. The kuttu bread acts as a base, thinner the better. This was a bit thick. The hariyali murgh tikka tasted good, in terms of flavour , it was bang on but it was a touch dry.We ordered fresh fig and dates and mango mint smoothie. Both were equally good. For the mains, we actually had a slight mistake. We had to go for rice with the fish molee but we opted for their breads, just because we wanted to try that. The fish molee was decent, could have been better. The singhara flour chapati and six grain paratha were again decent, I guess they could have something of whole wheat as well. The singhara one was thick and had a slight smokyness to it.We emded up with their amazing chocolate cake, grain free , moist and fudgy. To accompany that we’ve taken a coconut caramel ice cream, both of them were good, the warm chocolate cake with the ice cream was a good combination.Pricing, service and location:The prices are slightly on the higher side, the ingredients used are heatlhier and wholesome, so that is where it goes up.The service is prompt and professional but a tad slow. Can be quicker. Its located inside Fab India, road number 12 banjara hills. hyderabadfoodexplorer.com
In a world of fast food and fusion dishes, the rustic, simple, organic, traditional food find its place in people’s heart and stomach. FabCafe, an extension of FabIndia is an all-dining restaurant inspired by Indian Cuisine cooked with fresh and healthy ingredients in an uncomplicated and clean format. Most of the times it is frustrating not to find majority of our favourite food available in the menu. But, having a huge list of items is more daunting. On a positive note, here the menu is uncluttered, condensed and consists of only few selected dishes from the Indian Cuisine. The Beverages Menu is interesting with plenty of options across Coolers, Smoothies, Shakes, Hot/Cold Teas and Coffees. All the offerings are cold pressed without any additives with Almond Milk being used in certain Shakes and Smoothies. We tried the extremely refreshing Sugarcane Juice, which was priced at Rs. 160 and by all means the cost is on the higher side. Wild Berry, thick and vibrant was a bit sour and is subjective to tastebuds. Baked Samosa might sound peculiar but the stuffing enveloped with multigrain flour and baked to perfection made my samosa eating experience better than ever. While the Quinoa salad had a bitter after-taste, the Shakarkandi Tarbuz Salad was toothsome, addictive and could easy replace a Starter. Beetroot Tikki immersed in creamy yoghurt drizzled with chapata chutney’s made for a terrific chat. In terms of presentation, the pani in pani puri could be served in a better shaped glass Melt in the mouth Paneer Cubes in a lip-smacking green gravy made us fell in love with Punjabi Saag. Although Dal Makhani a dish which advocates lot of cream was cooked without it and surprisingly there was no change in the taste and texture. Coming to Desserts, the Mango Cashew Tart, a vegan cheesecake was a big let down. Should have opted for Indian Desserts instead. Pancakes from Kids menu was fluffy, light and served with bits of Apple and Jaggery syrup. FabCafe uses healthy ingredients and have replaced refined sugar, refined flours, oil with unrefined jaggery, multigrain flour and pure ghee. A meal here is obviously on a higher price range but totally worth it. In-fact people now have understood that healthy food comes at a price as I could see the place full to its capacity on a Saturday afternoon.
