Shaikh Al Mandi is one of oldest Mandi restaurants in Tolichowki. When I visited the place it had a deserted look and I was the only one in the restaurant.We asked the Manager to call someone to clean the table. He called one guy and took our order, later the same guy went into the Kitchen and prepared Mandi.We had ordered Chicken Mandi, rice was Okay but Chicken was very bad. They used same oil for Chicken and Fish. The Chicken was having a taste similar to the fish. I felt it was very unhygienic way to cook two different meat with the same oil and together. comparestudio.com

The same thing happened like we faced at abu faisal as we entered there not a single person in the restaurant except the owner cum cook.He greeted us in great manner which settled us down a bit.Unlike as abu faisal here there is no one except us till we leave.Ambiance: A small place but they have arranged lot of tables and they don’t have arabian majlis seating.Food:I think my hunt for orginal,tasty gulf kind of mandi has finished here.We ordered mutton mandi and it tooked us by surprised my seeing a raan in our plate we cross checked it from the waiter cum owner that we ordered a regular plate and he replied that its the normal one and the taste its like having a piece from heaven ,it’s well made,cooked mandi after after a long time.A typical saudi style mandi at last.A must try place if you are also looking for a professional mandi restaurant.Must Try
This restaurant is usually not crowdy. You will find lot of Arabian food restaurants around Tolichowki. I loved the taste of this restaurant among all of the other Mandi restaurants in the neighborhood. The curry which they offer along with Mandi is very tasty and gives a great taste when had with the Mandi rice. Chicken was very well cooked and was juicy and crunchy at the same time. Fish Mandi has a great taste aswell.
On every weekend i will go out for dinner with my friends , but last time I was going through the resturants and found Shaik Al Mandi .Had a great taste and experience in this restuarant. The Mandi i had is really awesome in taste as well as quantity..I and my friends felt very happy having a dinner in Shail Al Mandi and stared going to the same restauarant whenever they want Mandi.Overall the Mandi is rich in taste and rich in Proteins..Zaki Ahmed
It was my first time that I ever ate Mandi. While on the way to home with my uncle, we decided to have Arabian dish to feed our hunger and by luck, we stopped at Shaikh Al Mandi. It is located above domino’s, hard to catch one’s attention. By the look of restaurant, you can’t say whether it’s open or close. When you climb up to the first floor, it’s entrance is right in front of you. As we enter, the whole restaurant was empty. The service was quick, we ordered mutton mandi and it was served in few minutes. It was balanced spicy and the mutton was juicy, rice were well cooked and the amount of dry fruits were good. The quantity was good enough for 2 people. After finishing mandi, we ordered shakes but nothing apart from custard was available. The ambience was decent with dim lightings and classic interiors but it wasn’t like a typical Arabian restaurant. They have A/Cs implemented on walls but they were switched off and because of it, we felt some kind of dehydration. They didn’t switched them on until we requested them to switch on, but what they did was switched on only one AC but that wasn’t enough to make the place cooler. The sitting facility is huge but they aren’t comfortable. I’d prefer the stool seatings while eating mandi.Overall, first time experience of eating mandi was good, felt in love with Mandi. Will try Mandi at other places too.
