When you don’t get your lunch box and are looking for some quick, tasty and economical options, then Desi Tadka comes to your rescue. It’s a small place, no great ambiance (mind you), with a few tables and chairs thrown around. So you either take a parcel or sit there for a quick bite. They have some great combos , all ranging from ₹60/- to ₹110/- . I have tried out almost all the combos and my favs are chicken fry piece Biryani, mutton kheema, dal makhni, dal kichdj, Special NV thali and the egg curry. Today’s lunch – egg curry- 2 boiled eggs with gravy and 4 chapattis for ₹70/-. Tasty almost home made type of curry and hot chapatis, just off the tawa. You cannot ask for more. Do try out the place, if you are this side of Jubilee Hills, near the Pedamma temple.

Don’t ask about ambience when you get food at dead cheap prices
With decent food at really affordable rates, this place is a blessing for office goers around the area. They give you many combos to choose from. The biriyanis, priced at just 90, fills up your stomach. The taste of every item is satisfactory. Nothing much to talk about ambience or service. Will keep on going on the days I don’t bring lunch to office.
I tried their first dish out of the pamphlet they had. 4 phulkas + 3 veg curry. They made 4 phulkas fresh and served with 3 curries, a drumstick curry, brinjal fry and dhall. But the curries tasted like they were made in the afternoon. So while ordering here make sure you order the one made fresh. On ambience, nothing great, just felt like a dhaba.
