Hyderabad’s love for Arabian food is crazy! We all know that. The thing about the Arabian food worked here in India is Comfortable quick bites, mild flavors, well-cooked meats, and aromatic rice. While some people stick to authentic Arabian, most of like it a little Indianised. That’s what sets India apart from all over the world in terms of taste. You can take food from any part of the world and Indianise it, but you cannot do anything to Indian food. It’s already loaded with every possible flavor.So coming back to the subject, Arabian quick bites have taken Hyderabad by storm. People’s love for Shawarma has given Burger makers a run for their money. And Shawarma is still not done growing. The buzz was so loud, it was heard in the middle east, the origin of the cuisine. They saw a potential market here and didn’t take much time to franchise out their brand. Hence we have Just Falafel, a popular Arabian Fast food chain in UAE that serves Falafel, of course, wraps and drinks among other snacks.They’ve started their first store in Hyderabad at Road no.10 within Genuine Boraster Chicken premises. The menu is not extensive but is mouthwatering. There are Falafel, Shawarma, Pita Pockets, Rice, some never-seen-before drinks and desserts.I started with a Classic Shawarma just to see what a native Shawarma tastes like. And just as expected, the Shawarma was low on spice. Even the mayo was bland and the chicken was dry. But I’m not complaining, coz it’s original, not bad.Tried a Chinese version of pita pockets where the falafel was dipped in Schezwan sauce. Good idea but the schezwan sauce was dominating and the taste of Falafel and other fillings were killed. Someone who loves Chinese will love this.Chicken Kofta was a game changer. The Koftas were better than what we make at home. They were soft, succulent and had a soothing taste. One of their best offerings.Majadra, a rice dish cooked with chickpeas, fried onions and flavored salt. It is very similar to our own Qubooli (if you’re a Hyderabadi). But this one was high on Aroma. How I wish they added juicy mutton to it!Special mention to the Date Thick Shake, a flavor i had never tried before and yes it works like magic. The mild sweetness of dates gives this thick shake a distinct and soothing taste. Must try!Finally Dates halwa, again a never seen before variety in desserts which works!So the last three delicacies above compelled me to give a 4-star rating. New and yummy quick bites at amazing prices.But on the other side, Just Falafel needs to be more creative to make a mark. Because of 1. The name is falafel, which doesn’t excite as much as Shawarma. 2. Shawarma is not great. 3. There are new things on the menu but aren’t being promoted well.They may be able to pull the crowd from within the vicinity, but no one would drive to Just Falafel because there is nothing that attractive. They need at least one item on their menu that would turn heads of Hyderabadis.
Falafel is one of the middel east fast food, it’s the kind of sandwich you can eat anytime of the day, in just falafel they added a twist with the way they serve it, you can choose from so many different kinds of bread an toppings, worth trying and you can find them here , Just falafel has opened their first outlet here in Jubilee hillls , this place is decent and they serve you the most delicious falafels and they do have a lot of variations in which a falafel can be served .so during our visit we did try a range of falafels and we also had Ma jadra .They had a unique middle eastern drink called Sharab ward which had pistachios and almond o top of the Rose Juice , this was something new , one should surely try this o their visit here .And they serve the best Date Milkshake , you shouldnt miss this as you wont get this kind of shake anywhere in town.

New place alert!It’s a popular food chain franchise from. They have opened their first outlet in India in hyderabad. It is a tiny part located inside the Genuine broaster chicken.They are serving shawarma, falafel pockets, wraps, small plates, very few beverages and desserts.Small plate – I have tried Chicken kofta, which I really liked. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was perfect.Shawarma – I’ve tried Classic chicken shawarma and Chettinad chicken shawarma. I did not personally like the classic chicken shawarma. It was so bland. Chettinad chicken shawarma was okay comparatively.Falafel pockets – Tried the Chinese chicken Kheema falafel pocket. It was so good. This was the best thing I’ve tried here.Beverages – They only have two beverages on their menu – Dates shake and Sharab ward. I have tried both of them. They were good.Desserts – They have only two desserts on their menu and out of them only one was available and it was Dates Halwa. It was very good.Overall it was a good experience. I did not like the shawarma at all. And others were very good. Service and presentation could have been better.
This review has been long pending. Located on road no. 10, Jubilee Hills inside the Genuine Broaster Chicken restaurant, Just Falafel is not your regular shawarma restaurant. Coming to the menu, they have quite a variety of dishes and some shawarmas with an Indian touch. We ordered for the date thick shake, sharab ward, sauté mushroom, chicken kofta and chettinad chicken shawarma. The sharab ward, sauté mushrooms and chetinad chicken shawarma were fantastic. Each deserves a 5 star rating.Just Falafel is definitely a place I would recommend for people who are bored of the usual shawarmas.Ambiance: 3/5Food: 4/5Service: 4.5/5Overall rating: 4/5
Visited this awesome new place with a couple of my foodie friends a couple of weeks back .This place is a one of a kind falafel place with different types of falafels and pita bread pockets to choose from .We started with lebanese falafel pocket and greek falafel pocket which gave an authentic lebanese taste.Then we had the chicken shawarma wrap and chettinad chicken shawarma which was extremely tasty .The different dish which stood out was the chinese falafel pocket . It had an unexpectedly good tangy flavor which i liked very much.The star of that time was the date shake . it was amazing of a whole new level.My personal favourite was the chicken kofta which was soft and exactly the right taste.Sharab ward was another worth mentioning beverage at the place .Would definitely visit this place again.Highly recommed this place to all.
