Mamas kitchen, new one which started its operations from sep 2019, serving some stupendous south Indian cuisine at the same building shared by the Repete and revolt at jubilee hills road no 36 in the first floor, next to the tonique building. There ambience was also very good and it’s very spacious as it can accommodate around 100-150 strength at once and they do have a open kitchen.$ Tomato Shorba $Such a spicy shorba I had, just a spoon of it will make your taste buds happier.$ Veg manchuria $When comes to veg, manchuria is the first thing which comes to my mind and they were perfect in doing the same and half of our stomach was filled by manchuria as it was very tasty, we couldn’t stop eating them.$ Paneer Tikka $One more veggie, which impressed us to the core and it was such softer and perfectly cooked.$ Tawa fish fry $Such a bliss having this fish fry perfectly made and we can feel the perfect taste of the andhra style fish fry served with the fried curry leaves. We were very excited about the main course, as we were craving and waiting for their amazing spicy main course food.$ Garelu with Nellore chapala pulusu and kodi pulusu $This authentic combination of garelu with non veg gravies is only seen in the south part of india and especially in andhra region. Hot and crispy garelu with the spicy kodi pulusu makes the perfect combo and trust me, if you haven’t tried that yet, you miss some amazing combination in the food .$ Mutton Curry with Ragi sankati $Such a thick and spicy mutton curry being the one of the best items from the menu, munching with the rayalaseema special ragi sankanti makes the perfect combo.$ Kodi puloa $Coming to the puloa, again and again I would specify the same, such an aroma of spicyness in the puloa too and I personally love the spicy food any time, the pieces were also well cooked.$ Veg Thali $We also had their veg thali which included multiple curries and pickles followed by puris was also scrumptious.$ Desserts $After such an amazing spicy food, you would obviously want to cool down with the sweeteners. We had semiya payasam, gulab jamum and Rava Kesari which were absolutely perfect In taste and they do make all the deserts at their home and they actually tasted as the home foods. Finally, if you love the south indian thalis and other food with good amount of spice, then trust me mamas kitchen will never disappoint you.For more details and posts, please visit :LETSEATHYDERABAD on Instagram & Zomato.
A relatively new restaurant in the heart land of Hyderabad, has made a name for itself amongst the plethora of eateries in the city serving authentic Telugu cuisine. The cuisines of the two Telugu states-Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is almost as popular as the Hyderabadi Nizami cuisine in the city. The use of regional ingredients like Gongura leaves, Guntur chillies and Ulavacharu adds a myriad of flavours to this rich cuisine which is the spiciest in the country by far. The ambiance for the place gives you a feel of rustic earthy setting with fine dining sitting for family and friends. We were invited for a blogger’s session and the review for the restaurant is as follows:SOUPS:The ‘Manchow Soup’ was sweet and sour, medium spicy, and had finely chopped vegetables served with crisp noodles. APPETISERS:The ‘Royyala Vepudu’ has golden fried prawns stir fired in an extremely spicy dried spice mix.The ‘Mirapakaya Kodi Vepudu’ is an Andhra styled chicken roasted chicken prepared with red hot Guntur chillies sauted and fried cashews. The ‘Tawa Fish’ had shallow fried thinly battered fish that had a melange of spices.MAIN COURSE:‘Kodi Pulusu’ was a delicious and spicy andhra chicken curry made with a Guntur chilli spice mix and a hint of coconut. The ‘Gongura Royyalu’ had prawns cooked in sour green sorrel leaves tempered with red chillies and mustard seeds. The ’Nellore Chepala Pulusu’ had rohu fish in a delicious, spicy and slightly tangy gravy. The traditional gravies were served with steamed rice and hot poori. The ‘Kodi Pulao’ is a famous telugu wedding dish that is basically a spicy native pulao, where fragrant rice is cooked along tender chicken pieces in a rich coconut and poppy paste which is scrumptious. The ‘Dosa with Mutton Pulusu’ went well together and the crispy crunchy ‘Vada’ was savoury. DRINKS:The ‘Lassi’ was thick, creamy and the ‘Buttermilk’ was refreshing which are the must order to gulp down the spicy food served here.DESSERTS:‘Brownie with ice cream’ was amazing as the nutty chocolaty brownie was homemade and fresh. The ‘Semiya Payasam’ was a little too sweet for my taste. The Rawa Kesari’ was delicious and is a must order to end the meal. The restaurant is launching ‘South Indian Buffet’ serving a variety of authentic telugu delicacies starting New Year 2020 at a steal away price of just Rs. 499/- Recommendations:Buttermilk, Mirapakaya Kodi Vepudu, Nellore Chepala Pulusu, Kodi Pulao,Dosa with Mutton Pulusu, Rawa Kesari.Taste: 4/5, Service: 5/5, Ambiance: 4/5, Price: 5/5, Overall:4/5
Love authentic south indian food?? Mama’s kitchen is a newly opened place at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad that serves a wide variety of south indian cuisine. We visited the place last tuesday and tried some really amazing food. The ambience is great and is good for friends and family as well as corporate gatherings. For starters, we ordered paneer tikka, gobi manchurian, prawns.Further, we had some mocktails, mojitos, south indian thali, ragi muddai served with ghee and mutton curry. There were other things served too and everything tasted yummy.Food at Mama’s kitchen is towards the spicier side, so if u are a person who cannot bear spicy food might want to do some research before visiting.I personally loved the food and the place both!Favourites: Prawns, raagi and mutton curry, sevaiya: dessert.
Follow Me on Instagram @BeingHydFoodieMama’s kitchen, A new baby at Jubilee hills is serving you the best Andha / Telugu and South Indian Cuisine. Located at Jubilee hills Road No 36, first floor in the same building of famous brewery in town, Repete. You’ve got multiple options of other South Indian Cuisines, but latest experience at Mama’s Kitchen left me speechless. The ambiance is simple and Very very Spacious. Capacity is easily 150+ The Interiors are comfortable, Neat, clean and Hygienic. You get to see the open kitchen which is again maintained very well!We started with the soup first.Tomato Shorba: Tandy and spicy, good consistency. Loved it.Paneer Tikka: starting with an Veg appetizer. The paneer was super soft and well cooked. Not overly cooked. The bell peppers were slight Crunch. Tasted very good.Veg Manchuria: An item needs no intro, Very delicious, spicy and slightly crispy as well.Royalla Vepudu:Whenever I visit An South Indian Restaurant, I always try the prawns for sure. Here at Mama’s Kitchen, Mini prawns were cooked in a Hot spices gravy, Extremely spicy and Delicious in taste! Prawns were cooked perfectly, lots of curry leaves added. Just semi gravy, but flavoursome! I always prefer Jumbo size prawns, not a great fan of Mini prawns, but when it’s cooked Well I love it! A must try!Tawa Fish Fry: Amazing! Nicely deeply fried, Soft and spicy. Really loved it, best part is it wasn’t overly Fried. Coating was spot on. Topped with Curry Leaves. A must try! Before the Main course Began we had some Mocktails Here. They were simple and refreshing. Blue Curacao drink is recommended here! The other drinks were amazing too, don’t exactly remember the names. (Will edit and post soon)In main course they have a good and long menu. Mainly their Speciality into Combos and thalis, But Ala Carte is also serving Very delicious dishes.Main course: Crispy Wadas were hot and crunchy. Now you’ve got two options to have with Wadas.First we tried with Kodi Pulusu, Absolutely Delicious, chicken (with Bone) was succulent. Gravy was Flavourful and Spicy. Hot species and red chillies used in the gravy. One of the best chicken curries I had in recent times. Would definitely recommend.Combos: Ragi Sangati + Mutton Pulusu -Ragi Sangati / Mudde (which means ‘lump’) or ‘Hittu’ that is flour) is a wholesome meal in the state of Karnataka and Rayalaseema Region in Andhra Pradesh. It’s store house of multi nutrients, has only two ingredients, the Ragi (Finger Millet) flour and water. A big spoon of Ghee added on top to get good taste to Ragi. Served with Mutton Pulusu, which was Extremely delicious, tender and Spicy. Few meat pieces had some Fat too which were amazing. I absolutely loved the meat gravy, super spicy and Flavourful. This is one of The most selling and favourite Combos in South Indian restaurant. If you don’t like Mutton, not to worry, You have option for Kodi Pulusu as well. Amazing and delicious, really loved this item Recommended! We also had the Both Chicken and Mutton curries with hot phulkas.Nellore Chepala Pulusu: Fish curry is my all time favourite. Here it Surprised me with the taste. Fish was very soft, gravy was excellent in taste. Goes very good with Plain steamed rice or phulkas. I feel it can be more spicy! Yet the curry was fantastic.A Vegetarian Thali was Amazing with 2 puris with multiple Curries and Chutneys. Simply and Full of Love.Next we tried the Kodi Pulao. One of the best Pulaos I’ve had in a very long time. Chicken was tender, rice was fluffy. The spice level was just Brilliant. I tasted this with Mutton Pulusu and the combo went really good. They also have Biryanis, but I’d suggest to try out the Pulaos.Oh dear, The Main course was totally Satisfying. Presentation was nice and simple, but it was all about the Taste of every single dish! Been a fan already with chicken and Mutton gravies, not to forgot the Pulao too.Ending the Day with Desserts: In house Gulab Jamun was Nice.Rava Kesari Halwa tasted good but they need to add more of Ghee, it was a bit dry.Semiya Payasam: This just made our day! Had a same taste like Sheer Khurma, Semiya was soaked in milk properly. Served a little hot.The desserts were good and best part is it wasn’t very sweet. The sweetness level was perfect! My overall experience at this New place was Outstanding. Food was Brilliant, I didn’t find anything wrong. Right from Appetizers to Scrumptious main course and lovely desserts. A huge thanks to Bharadwaj and Samson for taking a good care of us. They were very caring and humble to us. They’re currently running with 70% off on Delivery.Surprisingly they also have Breakfast Buffet from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM with just 199/-Can’t wait to visit again and try other items. A perfect place for Families and friends. I’m sure food will not disappoint. Prices are reasonable too. Hope they maintain it same way.
