Located right next to Vana Bhojanam, in Banjara hills, Melting Moments is the place to have some fine desserts. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Since we were a group of 10 people, the owner made us very comfortable by arranging the tables indoor. They make their own ice creams and have majorly a variety of sundaesIn Chocolate Sundaes: We tried Brazilian Love Song & Chocolate Nirvana. The latter was best as it had icecream with hot brownie topped with chocolate syrup, nuts and choco chips. In Dry fruit Sundae section, there are multiple options available to suit your preference. Desert Dream had scoops of various ice-cream: Vanilla, pista, date & almond. Overall it was okay. Rage of Angels is high on fig flavour. For butterscotch cravings, there isButternut Crunch.Moving to Fresh fruit Sundaes, we tried-Chikoo temptation: okayishStrawberry Strip: icecream with mix fruits topped with strawberry sauce, felt it was a bit tangy to my taste budsSummer Romance: 3 scoops of ice cream with a banana split along with nuts and saucesVesuvius Havoc: Two scoops of ice-cream along with apples chopped and topped with kiwi syrup. This was, tangy, too.Besides the above we also tried the specials of the day.- Skillet cookie: The stealer of their whole menu. A pan sized cookie served in skillet topped with ice-cream and caramel sauce. Every bite felt like a burst of deliciousness. Must try.- Tiramisu – This was a bit watery and slightly lacked in taste. Could have been better.Overall a small outlet to stop by and have some cool desserts.Note: Skillet cookie and chocolate Nirvana are a must try!Ambience: 4/5Desserts: 4/5Service: 4/5-By invite
I would rate the place a 4.5. Melting Moments is a small, cozy dessert parlor, situated just a bit of the main Road No. 2, Banjara Hills. Located adjacent to Vana Bhojanam, it is not tough to spot the place. They have a few tables put up indoors and two-three, outdoors, under the shade of the tree. Parking is no issue, with ample parking space right in front of the joint. Because we were around 10 people, it was easier for us to be accommodated inside. The main selling point of the place is the variety of sundaes they offer, which are classified into 3 basic categories: Chocolate, Dry Fruits and Fresh Fruits, besides a few specials. Jotting down the ones we tried. I. Chocolate Sundaes~1. Brazilian Love Song – This one had a scoop each of coffee and chocolate ice-creams,topped with whipped cream, dry fruit bits and chocolate sauce. The mix of the two flavours is undeniably a good combination. ~2. Chocolate Nirvana – Quite true to its name, this sinful dessert is a must try! The brownie that was served was so soft, and because it was warmed to the correct temperature, a perfect match to the ice-cream and hot chocolate it was served with. The nuts, sprinkles and choco-chips were like the icing on the cake.II. Dry Fruit Sundaes~1. Desert Dream – There were 3 scoops of ice-creams in this: vanilla, pista and date & almond. I did not relish the pista one, but totally loved the date & almond.~2. Rage of Angels – Fig fan? Go for this without a thought! Not only is the ice-cream good, the raw fig that accompanies it, is also delectably good. ~3. Butternut Crunch – The go-to no-brainer option for those who love a good butterscotch experience. III. Fresh Fruit Sundaes~1. Chikoo Temptation – Fruit flavoured ice-cream, with slices of actual fruit; the fix for your chikoo cravings.~2. Summer Romance – This one is their take on the classic Banana Split. It is served with 3 scoops of ice-creams, fresh fruits, chocolate sauce, and, of course, a split banana. ~3. Strawberry Strip – I am not typically a berries fan, but really enjoyed this one. For once, I couldn’t get enough of the black currant ice-cream, that was a part of the sundae. ~4. Vesuvious Havoc – Not exactly delectable, but it could be appealing to the palates of those who enjoy a tang in their desserts.IV. Specials~1. Tiramisu – A bit too soggy and water for my liking, but this could be a one-off instance, because the flavours were otherwise not bad at all. ~2. Skillet Cookie – The one thing that you must, for sure order, HANDS DOWN! A mini pizza-sized cookie, that is prepared and served in a skillet, topped with ice-cream scoops and caramel sauce — this dessert is heaven in every bite. MUST TRY! The outlet makes their own ice-cream and you can taste that distinctly in some of the scoops. The prices vary according to the sundae’s composition, but are very justifiable. Two of my favourie surely would be Chocolate Nirvana and Skillet Cookie. Ditch the usual ice-cream joints in the area, and give this place a go next time you are around.P.S.: The Skillet Cookie takes time to be prepared, roughly upto half an hour. Be ready for the wait, that is worth it! .~By invite.
This is one amazing place to have natural flavoured ice creams. It’s a small place where we have both indoor and outdoor sitting. What we ordered was Brazilian love song, dessert dream, chikoo temptation, cookie skillet, tiramisu, chocolate Nirvana, dessert dream, summer romance, rage of angles, strawberry strips and Vesuvius havocAll were amazing and had fresh and natural flavor. What I liked most was chocolate Nirvana because brownie was so good in this.Overall it’s an amazing place to explore fresh and real flavour in ice cream.
I visited Melting Moments to taste their amazing sundaes that they prepare from scratch using only natural ingredients. I was invited here to taste their ice-creams and I must say they were delicious. The place is pretty spacious and you can comfortably sit and enjoy your cup of sundae. The ones that we tried out were:- Chocolate Nirvana (filled with chocolate ice-cream and chocolate syrup)- Brazilian Love Song (the brownie was amazing in this)- Dessert Dream (try this out if you love caramel)- Fig Ice-cream (not only do they serve a fig flavored ice-cream but also serve a whole fig with this)- Chikoo temptation (the flavors could have been better)- Summer Romance (basically a banana split with tons of chocolate sauce)- Cookie in a Skillet (my favorite one and I even went for a second helping)- Strawberry Strip (Strawberry, Blackberry and Litchi all combined into one)- Vesuvius Havoc (Orange, Apple and Kiwi mashup)- Rage of Angels (Crunchy, Nutty topped with honey)- Tiramisu (who doesn’t love Tiramisu?)I would totally recommend this place for their natural flavors and the combination of Sundae. The Cookie in a Skillet is a must try.
3 steps for guaranteed happiness:1) Go to melting moments2) Order the Nirvana and Cookie Skillets3) Have it and experience true blissThere were variety of sundaes and all of them had unique combinations, yet delightful! Nirvana and Cookie skillet is definitely on the list of my favourite desserts.
The same taste and the same ice cream. It’s back again. Autumn Dreams should be the first choice if you prefer chocolate. Might keep visiting more often. The place is very minimally furnished and can be a little more clean.
