Food trucks are common throughout the world. Most often, they are associated with ethnic street food, they provide affordable, comforting food that is relatively simple to prepare. Today, food trucks come in every type of cuisine which is consumable, from short rib tacos to fried desserts to gourmet lunch boxes. Food trucks have gained the much needed buzz since the 2008 recession hit the world, and are as much of a restaurant concept as family style dining or fast food. Given the low cost, many restaurateurs are now making shift to the idea of opening a food truck business, which is now regarded as a respectable venue for starting a career in the food & beverage industry. Today, food trucks offer a myriad of menu options, from burgers to wraps to waffles and what not. Going beyond street food cuisine, food trucks now cater to all tastes, offering gourmet, locally sourced, artisan menu items. Moreover, food trucks keep popping up in Hyderabad every now and then offering plenty of options for all those foodies out there. While they remain common in busy urban centers, they can also be found in suburban and rural areas. Such is a similiar story of Panchakattu Dosa, a food truck which offers authentic Rayalaseema based Dosas. They are located on Road No. 44 with close proximity to State Art Gallery. This food truck completely changes the idea of the food truck by offering some real & authentic Rayalaseema styled Karam dosas which are very popular in the city of Hyderabad. Panchakattu Dosa has been incepted by Naga Bharana Chilamakuri, a resident of Tadipatri, a town in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, who earlier was working for working for a firm which produced ERP based solutions for eaters. Ramana Dosa, an outlet which is based out of Bharan’s hometown gave him the idea of opening up Panchakattu Dosa food truck in Hyderabad. They have started their operation in July 2019 & its been just two months Panchakattu has become the most talked about food truck in the town & the most sought after place for breakfast & evening snacks places. The prices of the items start from Rs 35 onwards, thereby making the entire spread of the options at affordable range. The list of options start off with Uggani, Karam Dosa, Uttapam, Idli & Vadas. However, the star among this is the variation of Karam Dosa which includes Ghee, Onion, Masala etc, and all of these have a layer of Erra Karam, a red toned chutney made from chillies and onions. But as soon as one hears chillies, it takes all our tastes a seat back. To balance this, a layer of Pappuli Podi is sprinkled over the dosas or uttapams so that the chilly flavours gets nuetralized. Another popular option is Uggani is served here which shouldn’t be missed at all. Uggani is a dish made out of puffed rice with spicy masala to give that needed spicesness in the dish. Their main USP is the ingredients for the Karam being prepared is brought directly from Tadipatri, thereby maintaining the quality of the items, and this is the reason this food truck is go-to options for many folks. Panchakktu promises on delivering an authentic Rayalaseema breakfast experience onto a person’s plate and it does justice to the same in all aspects. I would definitely recommend this place for all those spicy food lovers, yet a subtle balance of flavours does the magic.
Hi readers..Do follow me on Instagram Shagufta Gulnar (afewmoments_22)I have been to this place a few days back along with my three more foodie friends.. It was quite exciting for me to try the food here as it was my first experience for trying food at a foodtruck..Located near Art gallery, Jubilee hills, This place has its roots in their native place Tadipatri a place in Anantapur, Rayalaseema.. From where the idea of serving authentic Rayalaseema breakfast and starting a food truck in Hyderabad has came into existence..When comes to food we tried1. Uggani: A popular snack or breakfast option made from puffed rice tossed in some spices and seasoned. I tried this for the first time and I really liked it.. It was light, tasty and filling too..When we talk about dosas of this place they are roasted on the both sides which make them more crispier compared to the dosas usually we have. The specialty of the dosas are kaaram (chutney) spicy kaaram dosas where chutney is being prepared with red chilies and onion.2. Ghee kaaram dosa: Where the dosas gives you hint of pure ghee in every bite..A special gram powder (pappul podi) is sprinkled over the kaaram to maintain the balance of spicy chutney..3. Ghee kaaram masala dosa: Trust me guys this was one of the best dosas I had. Flavor of pure ghee, well balanced spices in masala and kaaram topped with pappul podi.. Taste wonderful!4. Ghee kaaram onion dosa: variant of kaaram dosa same like ghee kaaram and ghee kaaram masala dosa with onion inside.. Subtle taste..5. Ghee uttapam: Not a big fan of uttapams but this taste was really something different, one should not miss it.. Highly recommended..!Its a been a very short time of two months, the food truck has been started but observed a great food fall.. Good food with affordable prices always attracts the customers.. ! Same thing with the place..Overall it was an amazing experience to try out something like this..!Food: 5/5Service: 4/5Value for money: 5/5
Been here couple of days ago. They have different varieties of dosas served with chutney and homemade Karam chutney. I liked ghee Karam dosa and the masala one. The spread inside the dosa with Roasted chenna poddi is very good . Uggani and Uttapam was my favorite. They use homemade Mirchi and poddi which is so natural and tasty. For best authentic Rayalseema breakfast in Hyderabad . You must visit this place. Looking to visit againThank you.Follow @fflpeople on Instagram for more updates.
