Firstly the ambience is really pleasant and serene. Since we went on a Sunday, the place was crowded and had a wait time of 40 mins but it was worth the wait. We tried karimnagar chicken wings which I totally loved, golichina mutton ,mutton chops which was a killer, haleem which was pretty decent. The flavours were authentic and bang on with apt spice levels bursting with flavor. For main course we tried tsk chicken biryani, mutton biryani and kheema biryani which were decent in portion and flavor. Ended our course with lassi which was average. Had a good experience, except for the waiting time which could be waived off as it was Sunday.
Food was delicious and indeed worth the while. Esply Dalcha and Bagara rice were great. Kareem nagar chicken wings and sholay chicken kebab were tasty to the last bites!Only thing which was rather astonishing was, a little disinterested service by the lady staff who was serving the rice.So much was carelessly spilt on the table outside the plate.
Tucked away from the hubbub of the city at Jubilee Hills, ‘Telangana spice kitchen’ is a casual dine in that dishes out authentic Telangana cuisine! By far, TSK is the only best restaurant in town that genuinely satisfies all your local spicy food cravings.AMBIENCEThe restaurant is really commodious and perfect for group gatherings! So, the place welcomes you with their pretty outdoor seating area. The indoor section is set up in two levels bearing individual themes. The decor at ground level is basic with wooden tables/chairs and ‘kalamkari’ paintings hung on the walls. Upstairs is mostly done in blue- walls, patterned floor tiles and paned windows. Also, there’s a full bar set up and a partially covered outdoor section with vintage lanterns suspended from the top and quirky photo frames adorning the walls.FOODSo, I was here with my friends a few days ago for lunch and we tried the following,APPETIZERS* Karimnagar fried chicken wings- Crunchy from the outside and succulent from the inside, these wings marinated with local South Indian spices and garnished with green chillies & cilantro were extremely high on spice levels! ( 5/5 )* Korameena roast( fish )- Marinated fish fillets are deep fried to perfection and garnished with green chillies & cilantro! Must try. ( 5/5 )* Garelu- So, we’ve tried Pappu garelu( 5/5 ) with Natu kodi gravy and Mokkajonna garelu( 3.5/5 ) with Mutton gravy. While pappu garelu were crisp fried to perfection with all the local spices rightfully balanced, mokkajonna garelu on the other hand were slightly puffy in texture and sweet in taste! Also, both the gravies were authentic and homely.* Golichina chicken & golichina mutton- Chicken and mutton chunks with bones are marinated in local spices and fried! They were again really spicy, you guys! Also, these dishes go pretty well with rice too. ( 5/5 )MAIN COURSE* Kheema biryani- Served with raitha and gravy, the rice was aromatic & cooked to perfection with the kheema masala being on the point! Highly recommend the dish. ( 5/5 )So, we’ve also tried Pulihora & Bagara rice with Mutton dalcha and Plain rice with Mudda pappu & pachi pulusu. Honestly, they were all so homely and delicious!DRINKSSo, we’ve tried Panakam( a gin based cocktail ), Acchar virgin mojito( mocktail ), TSK iced tea and Coconut water with honey! Honestly, It’s hard to pick a favourite. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of them.DESSERTSWe’ve tried Kaddu kheer, Carrot halwa and Qubani ka meetha with ice cream! All of them were truly delightful and my personal favourite is Qubani ka meetha. The staff are extremely polite and courteous!VFM- 5/5; Service- 5/5
Telangana spice kitchen is an amazing restro-bar that’s totally worth its name ,which it has made by its wonderful authentic Telangana food and drinks. This place has classic and pleasing ambience with both indoor and outdoor seating. Located in the bylanes of Banjara Hills, this is a beautiful place to hang out with friends and family. The food at this place is delicious and service is appreciable.I’ve been to this place with a group of foodie friends of mine for lunch.Food:Karimnagar fried wings:The best dish at this place is Karimnagar fried wings. With it’s colourful garnishing,it loooked very appealing. The wings were crispy outside and tender inside. It was a bit spicy,a natural Telangana spice.A must try dish.MainsPulihora with country chicken :Pulihora being a favourite South Indian dish was served with country chicken ,which was a great combination.Pulihora had a slight tangy taste of tamarind and flavourful rich taste of curry leaves which made up a perfect amalgamation with the spicy country chicken gravy.Bhagara with mutton dalcha :Bhagara rice is another authentic dish of Telangana which is basically rice which is spiced up with Indian spices. The mutton dalcha is also another delicacy of Hyderabad which goes well with bhagara rice. The combination was great and delicious.Muddapappu pachi pulusu with white rice:This is my favourite one from the main course. Muddapappu is a dal and tomato based thick curry which has a subtle flavour,it was served with spicy , tangy and a bit sweet (tamarind based) pachi pulusu. These both when mixed with plain rice the make up a epic taste which is just awesome. This is a must must tryyy!!Kheema biryani:Served In a pot ,this dish was a eye candy with small chunks of fragrant and tender meat in the flavourful, aromatic and spiced up rice which was was just mind blowing.Served with curry and raita ,this is a must try at this place.Desserts :Kaddu kheerQubani ka meetha with ice creamCarrot halwaAll the three deserts tasted really good and out of all, kaddu kheer was the best!Do visit this amazing place!!!
Well, the name Justifies! Overwhelmed with spicy delicacies and combinations by Telangana Spice kitchen erstwhile Malak spice. Someone who already visited MalakaSpice would know how huge this place is with different seating choices catering to all sets of the crowd. Bright walls, catchy frames, athangudi tiles all add up to the experience with a view equally cheerful in afternoons and evenings Primarily focused on Telangana cuisine with an added influence of Karimnagar local household preparations #TSK introduces you to an array of eye watering dishes. Yes, you heard me correct. Most of them come with a traditional spice level & serves as a perfect complement with their in house specialty cocktails/mocktails besides regular drinks.Below are a few that I devoured on and recommended. #PappuGarelu with #NatukodiKura , #MakkeGarelu with #Mamsam ( Unlike the traditional Telangana style makke garelu these are Karimnagar version that’s different in texture and got a tad sweetness to it though prepared with field corn. ), #PittaRoast (While it got a nice taste and crisp, quail bird is already small & its further cut into pieces which could have been avoided.), #GolichinaMamsam or #GolichinaChicken ( Is again a Telangana style preparation. Golichina meaning deep fried.), #KarimnagarFriedWings (Telangana style American wings I shall say with local spices . Lol ), #KorameenuRoast,#Pulihora With #NatukodiChicken (My kinda temple style Pulihora way more sour than usual. Did go well with the spicy country chicken curry.), #Bhagara With #Dalcha (Has got a right dal consistency, tender mutton & pleasant sourness), #Mudhapappu #PachiPulusu with #WhiteRice (Pachi pulusu again turned out really well with piping hot white rice), #KheemaBiryani , #Panakam (Gin based based cocktail with jaggery syrup, cardamom, black pepper, dry ginger,), #ChatpataChaska (Vodka based). Routine desserts but #KadduKaKheer stood out. Could have been a little thicker. BTW besides all these they got an exclusive kebab counter serving common ones along with TSK specials. Family gatherings over divine drinks and food are common in Telangana part of Telugu states & so is the same I see here across tables where patron enjoyed their spicy main course dishes with drinks. Spiciness can be a challenge for few palates & you need to make sure you mention the same which can be adjusted while preparing. Overall a place not to be missed to eat like a local. #TelanganaSpiceKitchen #TSK #Telanganacuisine #regionalcuisine #foodie #foodenthusiast #Culinaryenthusiast #itsallaboutfood #lovefoodhatewaste #annadathasukhibhava #ClickEatXploreYo #LiveCEXY. clickeatxploreyo.wordpress.com
Just fell in love !This is one of the coolest ambience or places I have seen in recent times in Hyderabad. I am so in love their glass walls, outdoor seating areas. It was raining when I visited this place and man O man it was a cinematic experience. They serve authentic Telangana cuisine. Taste buds will explode with their spice. Brownie with the ice cream at the end is a must. They also have Chinese options in the menu.Staff was slow initially may be due to the crowd but very much up to the pace once the dishes are being served.Would love to visit this place at dinner time.
Went for lunch. We were nearly 15people so they gave us a private hall. The place was really good. All the dishes were spicy.Ordered Pittal roast (its is spl there – but i felt ok) ,Fish roast, prawns tikka(loved them), paneer kurkure(different and good), prawns chilli(loved them), malai chicken,TSK non veg platter, crispy corn, tandoori pomfret,Dalcha mutton with bagara rice( must try),curd rice.Ordered drinks like chatpat chaska, kobbari bondam cooler,Sangria, sweet lassi, butter milk. For dessert ordered 3 chocolate mub crumble icecream(yummy).Overall the experience was nice.
