One of the oldest bar cum restaurants in hyderabad.the walls and the tables speak volumes about this place.maybe at some point of time it had lived it’s golden period.Ok let’s come to food.chicken majestic,gobhi Manchurian and prawn pakoda is what i had apart from a beer and SmirnoffChicken majestic originated from the era of 1960-1970.when there was a trend of Indo chinese cuisine in hyderabad.and the city coloured itself with chicken 65, chicken majestic etc.Now this dish was good,not great .gobhi Manchurian was as pathetic as the fading colours of the walls of this restaurant.prawns were the only saving grace.The staff were mostly old men.they were courteous though.Let’s see if this restaurant can compete with the likes of chain restaurants or fade into darkness like many others
the golden cave restaurant and bar in ameerpet. in the mid to late 90’s this place was the only place in the in and around ameerpet for decent drinks and food. the place was notoriously famous for its mutton kali mirch kebab, kheema biryani, chicken majestic, loose fried prawns and fish fry. i have had the pleasure of patronising this place at that time and compared to urvasi bar ( downtown was the premium section) this was cheaper and served equally good food.when me and my friend went to this place to relive the experience we were dismayed at the state of affairs, misplaced orders, tasteless food were the call of the day. the prawns was passable, fish fry was apollo fish, mutton talava was rubbery and tasteless. quietly finished my beer cleared the check and headed to another place for a satisfying dinner.looks loke this one is fading with time. Golden cave is one of the oldest place in ameepet area, its not a ideal place to hangout with family. Ambience is average. If want to eat authentic andhra spicy food this is the place kala mirchi chicken, andhra prawns fry with out coting, andhra mutton curry and kheema biryani are must here. Take away is avalible with ample parking space
Great economical place with good tasty healthy clean food .drinks r economoical .they r not charged exorbitantly as in blue fox.tastes better than blue fox.musttry chilli paneer nd egg biryani
