The only nice thing about the place is firang tourist friendliness, rest everything else doesn’t go with the costing. Everything apparently and effectively was overcharged, especially when none of it matches even the normal standards. They had a long list as the menu but food lacks the taste also the hygiene was substandard. The outdoor sitting arrangement had too many flies and that seems normal to the management and staff since there were no precautionary steps to avoid few of flies to land in your dishes, yeah! had to ask for extra plates to cover our dishes. The staff certainly lacks the experience since we had to remind them quite a few times to serve basic cutlery like spoons, forks, glasses of water etc. They had this concept of folk music, particularly for the foreigner tourists – it was rather funny cause the artists were performing, only if they see some firang/s walking across, perhaps in the hope of getting little extra tip for the tasteless and overpriced meal that they served.Overall not proud of the decision to trust them with our lunch, while visiting the city of Tajmahal.
A forgettable, tourist-friendly place, with a wide variety of bland dishes. New Riao offers many kinds of cuisine – Chinese, Indian, generic western – without really specializing in anything. Nice courtyard atmosphere, live classical Indian music, though a bit too many flies buzzing about the table for my taste.
