Wahid Biryani is one of the most famous non veg outlets of the city. This branch in Aminabadbis right next to Tundey Kababi, however I won’t be surprise if you overlook it while passing. The place is quite small. The seats are pretty uncomfortable and are structurred and fixed together to accommodate large no. of people on one table. You’d find the menu printed on the table, so yea they did some saving there. We went there pretty early so they hardly had anything prepared by then. Nevertheless we ate what we could. We ordered a plate of Chicken Boti Kebab with paratha and I just had to try chicken biryani owing to the hype.Chicken Boti Kebab- Surely one of the best I’ve had in town. Its rich and spicy flavours would bring you back to this place. However certain pieces of chicken were a little hard and not cooked enough but overall it was a great dish. A must try if you visit the place. Do try it with crispy parathas, you’ll remember me for suggesting this place.Chicken Biryani- The biryani was pretty good but nothing extraordinary. Once you visit a place with a reputation, I guess you beging expecting more. Nonetheless, it tasted pretty good so you could definitely give it a try but do not expect too much. You could easily find better biryani outlets in town since duh? It’s Lucknow. They used a rice with thicker seeds so that was personally a natural put off for me. The raita they served, however, was AMAZING.Chicken Masala- First of all, it was clearly stale and not cooked well. On top of it, they did not even bother to serve it hot. Total disaster for meSo Wahid Biryani gets a 3/5 for me for the love of Boti chicken.P.s – If you don’t want to compromise with the ambience or locality, I would ask you to consider before visiting the place but if food is all you care about, you’re good to go..
