The old famous thandai shop in chowk. They provide you 2 types of thandai bhang thandai and non bhang thandai. I tried the nomal (non bhang) one . It was ok ok . Its like they just used some artificial colour and flavour with milk and some suger. I didn’t feel they use any type of dry fruit. You have to pay 40 bucks for a small glass. It is good enough not very special.
We tried the bhaang thandai and we were floating for more than 7 hours. The server there asked us about the amount of bhaang we wanted to be added and as we weren’t sure about the quantity, we agreed to whatever amount he told was ok. Try at your own risk. The taste was just ok but the effect it left was haunting.
Taste is not extraordinary. Not so thik and chilled Thandai. It have very normal taste. After drinking you don’t feel so refreshing. Ambiance is also very normal and not proper sitting arrangement.
If you are in Lucknow and you have not had thandai here then you miss history , chilled thandai in Chowk , take the big glass and if you want to sit in your car and drink they give in disposable glasses as well .
A good and an old shop with awesome flavoured thandai, shopkeeper was selling his product with confidence too and that taste u may can’t get easily, if you will have that thandai without ice it will give you more taste with more flavors and aroma
Refreshing thandai at most affordable price. Bhaang option available throughout the year but you have to ask for it. The only negative is the step over the gutter at the entrance.
