It is basically a clean and hygienic place to have your food from other than that the food is quite cheap also at this place and it is an old place and I really like it.
We had ordered food delivery. Normally we wouldn’t have from an untried place but since at 11 pm , options were few , we tried expecting the worst. But to our surprise the food was extremely tasty, light to eat, no excessive oil, almost like home food, in fact we have short listed this place to order again whenever vegetarian friends come over. The portion size seemed small in the containers but when we started eating it was sufficient for two. 1 dish per person if you are sharing. Chapatis we got made at home so can’t comment on the breads.Lovely food.

This place is very old and you will realise it as soon as you enter it. But, being old doesn’t mean it’s bad. The ambience has an old feeling, the seating and all as well. Outdated, may be is the right word. Apart from it, the food served here is decent. Although, you can get the same dishes better-prepared at other places, they are still decent never the less. The location of this restaurant is in a compund. And mostly, u will see politocal people having food here as this restaurant is surrounded by hotels where these people stay mostly.
No frills restaurant with good vegetarian food. Old place clean and famous for thali. Generally office and political workers goers place for quick bites. It’s in the vicinity of many government offices and government quarters for elected representatives. So only go if in this area and with feeling of nice food.
Fairly Disappointed with the Food, Overall Quality, Service, Taste of Food, Cost everything at Gyan Vaishnav Hotel at Lalbagh. I still remember quite few years Back, When I visited this place after a Movie Show at Novelty Lalbagh, the Place was Jam – Packed with People. This was not without reasons, It is Strategically located between Vidhan Sabha Marg and Hazratganj, People wanted to have Dhaba Style Food at dirt cheap prices and it is very near to Novelty Cinema Lalbagh. This was a decent place to have a quick bite or a full meal post or pre Movie Session. But yes, I will sadly and Unfortunately say gone are those days. Food tasted bland, Service was too poor. It took approximately 45 Minutes of time, for my order to get there on my table, and that too after periodical coaxing and requests to the Waiter. This is Pure Vegetarian Hotel, so their Cutting Edge and Utterly Popular – Dishes should have had been Paneer, and Dal Fry. But to my utter disappointment, both were pathetic. It takes years and years to build up a reputation, but it can be torn down apart in few minutes. 2.5/5 My Rating. I am disappointed to be writing this.
