It was my b’day treat and I went there with my friends. The restaurant is a bit low on space. The staff is too cocky and illiterate. The starters come in along with the main course, they suggest you starters for main course and funniest of all, they think steak is a dish with a STICK in it! It got me in a heated conversation with the management when they tried convincing me that steak on sizzler is a dish with cubes of chicken in some tangy gravy just coz they serve it that way. And when I asked them to call the chef over, they said that I knew nothing about a steak and was fretting over the issue without any reason. The chef, most intellectual of them all, understood the problem and told the waiters to back off. They still weren’t ready to strike that item off my bill and forced me to order something else instead. Take that for making it up! The food was otherwise pretty good. The Chicken Biryani and peri peri chicken are a must have.
I went to this place with lot of expectations and was disappointed (main reason was service). Few of the things were good (chicken tandoori and paneer) but others were average. The main reason for bad review is the service. The waiter was very arrogant and was really motivated to make sure that we leave the restaurant soon. For the desserts he suggested that we eat outside in some other store. Generally food is the most important criteria for me, but the service here was really bad.
The only good sports bar in Kanpur, I must say. A real value for money this place is. With prices of beer just a little higher, it is definitely a place to be considering the ambience it provides in a city where you do not have much options. Thai chicken, garlic chicken are the ones you can go for. Oh and yes how can I forget Baileys, my most favourite drink out there.
