During a quick trip to Agra, this was the only hotel close to Taj which was affordable. After a long day of sightseeing; we decided to have our dinner in house. At first, I was a little wary since there were hardly any guests but the food bowled me over. The mutton biryani is a class apart; succulent pieces of mutton in aromatic long grained basmati rice complete with a creamy rich raita. I was drooling over it so much that I had one of my slowest meals ever. My aunt had also ordered Chana Masala which was nice & spicy and tasted heavenly. I had a small helping with tandoori roti and thanked my stars that I chose to have my dinner here. lifeisavacation.in

During my stay in Agra with my family I was a guest in Royal Residency Hotel, and Salt & Pepper happens to be their in house restaurant. Well decorated with spacy and comfortable sitting arrangement, I was quite amazed at their lunch & dinner menu options and tried Indian Menu for lunch and Chinese Menu for dinner. For lunch we had Mutton Biriyani, which was very light with succulent pieces of mutton, Yellow Dal which was out of this world and Chicken Tikka Masala with Butter Naan. Each of the items were superbly cooked. Out dinner menu of Chicken Sweet corn Soup with Chicken Noodles and Chilli Chicken was excellent to taste. The flavours of the herbs were just about right and the cooking was light and tasty. I would recommend anyone visiting Agra to definitely try out this restaurant.
