Wow. I am coming to this shop since 1972. Sweets are so nice. Special RAS MALAI. Have taste. You will never take Ras Malai from any shop in the city if you have eaten from here.
This place was recommended to me by a few people, so the expectations were quite high. I had the ‘over hyped’ rasmalai of Bengali sweet house, which was without any doubt good, but nothing different from any other places I have had one. But still, a shot won’t be a bad idea here.
A person has a special place in the heart for the food of his/her area. So when I saw the name Bengali sweets I was drawn for the amazing rasgullas and rasmalai. The white rasmalai (without Kesar) is pretty good. So is the milk cake. The rasgullas are good but not what I expected.
Though Kumars is a sweetshop that has a monopoly of offering the vivid types of best quality sweets around the city, Yet the second name that instantly comes into mind after the former one is ofcourse the Bengali sweet shop. The shop located at the main paltan bazaar-Ghantaghar area mainly offers all types of Bengali sweets & snacks. Whether you wana taste the famous Bengali Rosogollas or the kesar Rasmalai, u’ll get everything here.My chacha used to bring us sweets from this particular shop since years and it is just because of him we have almost tasted every type of sweets they offer. Lol 😀 Gajar ka Halwa in winters, Rasmalai, kulfis & Ghevar in winters, choclate barfis, kaju katli and many more. They also offer side snacks like samosa, matri, namkeens & dhokala too.I am very particular about Indian mithais and not all could influence my taste buds. So as the Sweets from Bengali Sweets! I am disappointed with some of the mithais this well-known sweet shop offers. The rasgullas are just too sugary, Gajar ka halwa is just as normal as we make at home.Majority of Barfees are simple. Laddus are okay. If I talk about my favourite then I love their Dhoklas, White Rasmalais & their home made choclates. Thats all!!Checkout my ratings below-Sweets quality- 7/10 (not all sweets r good to make one buy again)Service- 8/10Pricing- 7/10 ( a little heavy on pockets)Ambience- 8/10 ( sitting available)Packing- 6/10Hygiene- 8/10PS- I am not really influenced with its Mithais except for a few & its Dhokalas. rashmikanti.wordpress.com

I have been coming here since I was 5. Till date we have been eating at this amazing place and getting various events and parties catered. Also I have always bought sweets for any occasion or gifting to a friend from this place.Their sweets are the best in town and hence they’re are known for the epic hospitality and the amazing products they have to offer. The taste is delicious as ever. Recently I bought Gevar and ladoos from here, as said. They were just amazing. Keep up the amazing work!
I love the chocolate made under their label and if you are visiting uttrakhand for the first time, try SINGHORI and BAL-MITHAI (a chocolate sweet) here.SINGHORI is especially made in dehradun here (correct me if any other place makes it too)
