Surprised to see no reviews for such an amazing place in Doon! Probably, it has to do with its location which is in Dharampur area. Most of the city dwellers have to travel towards the outskirts, across the Haridwar Road. But an amazing place like this is worth the extra mile!To begin with, the decor and ambience of the restaurant. The actual ambience and aesthetics of the restaurant are a bit different from what the management photos depict. Although the glassed walls provide a city view, but the tinted glasses don’t let light filter in properly and hence the overall place is a bit dark and gloomy during the day hours. Moreover, the restaurant is not as big as it seems in the pictures, it is in the shape of arc, with some of the tables lined along the railing, so the haphazard set up gives it a congested look. The biggest lowpoint of the place was that the floors were sticky, but I can relent this one to the fact that there were multiple parties going on at the time of our visit.Because of its huge lawns, beautiful decor, most of the locals opt this place for small and large scale parties. But apart from that, the place is pretty good for a casual dine out meal.We took a tea and snacks break at this restaurant. It is remarkable that despite the chaos, the servers served us well in time and every served item was well prepared and presented.Among the vegetarian starters – Spring rolls were pretty basic yet satisfactory, the Cheese corn rolls were golden fried breaded rolls of hint of cheese and paneer and the cheese and pineapple hedgehog appetizers is the most wholesome and nutritious treat!A hot cup of strong Indian tea is all that you need after a long drive and the tea served at Emerald Court assures that a single cup is capable of renewing you from the fatigue of arduous journey! Although the tea is so good that you just can’t have enough of it!I would highly recommend Emerald Court to the foodies of Doon, and also, the people who are seeking for good casual diner options!
