On EC road at ARAGHAR crossing, this place seems to have existed forever, being one of the first bars in this area. With the new management the place has gone through a makeover. We ordered a Lung Fung Soup, Fish and Chips, Grilled chicken and a Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Our Lung Fung soup arrived, it was a thick soup with some pieces of chicken and no flavor. This was just about as Chinese as you can call me Shanghai Joe, the thickening was a dash of cornflour and some egg. This got me curious about the origin of this soup, on Wikipedia a lung Fung soup is a thick seafood or gou rou soup made with lemon, chili peppers, chicken, snake, and Chinese vegetables. Lung is chicken and Fung (hold your breath) is snake. This is a popular soup in all Punjabified Chinese restaurants. Why In Buddha’s name do you have to name soups this way. A chicken lung minus Fung soups should at least have a ‘Umami ‘ or meaty flavor, vegetables were completely missing. The fish and chips were changed to fish fingers and the grilled chicken sandwich were served a la disintegrated with an excess of mayonnaise, hard cabbage and a little chicken. I see many restaurants mushrooming like atomic clouds all over Dehradun and only few have have any character. Most are run by disinterested business men investing obscene amounts of money in churning out trashy food. The food business is run on passion, attention to detail and honesty. Most ingredients are missing. Even if these so called F&B Entrepreneurs just follow a basic recipe, have a standard operating procedure pay some attention to quality control and at least taste what they are dishing out things can be saved otherwise the food industry is really doomed. All this doesn’t cost money or fancy decor. I am happy to discover at least a few underrated restaurants still run with honesty and passion ( like Dehradurbar ) Vedant Sharma

Price is reasonable. A perfect place to hangout in evening with a group of Max 4-5. Food is good too. Cute little cafe. Not recommended for family dinners. Tried dahi kebab, cold coffee, honey chilli potato, spring rolls, chilly chicken, chicken handi, tandoori chicken. 5 star for all dishes.

Place is descent, hookah was worst one I ever had. Food and drink are good. I won’t ever recommend anyone for hookah at this place. Hopefully they can improve on this.
