Had a good experience at Dilli Darbaar’s delhi branch. Thus, decided to try this one at Mall Road as well. The place looks quite attractive from outside but interiors aren’t pleasing at all. Nobody welcomed us at the entrance thus, we escorted us by ourselves. Server came and kept a bottle of mineral water on our table for which my friend denied but again he came with the bottle of mineral water. Maybe the innocent guy was trying to up sell. Then we ordered the food and requested for a bottle of Pepsi and the server said that they serve soft drinks by glass which costs ₹50 per glass. I mean seriously? Then i requested to him to get a bottle of 350ml and he told us that the bottle will cost us ₹100. I was shocked and literally felt robbed because the bottle of 350ml has the Mrp of ₹20. I wasn’t in a mood to fight else I’d have educated them about the govt law which says that the restaurant cant charge more than mrp for anything. So i just decided to cancel the order for drinks. We ordered dal makhani and kolhapuri paneer with a few breads and the food came on time. Kolhapuri tasted amazing but dal lacked the flavours. Thus, without making any complaint i requested the server to add some spices in it but he made a really bad face and started educating me about dal makhani but i still requested him to add some spices. The breads were a lil soggy, so requested him to make it a lil crispier and then he made a really bad and annoyed face and then got it replaced! Later in when we ordered another portion of breads, he sarcastically asked us if we want them to be crispy or not! Hygiene is also a big concern as in the live kitchen chefs weren’t wearing the caps and stewards were freely moving in without caps. Terrible experience!!
