Firangi Madras => South Indian delicacies with a fusion twist.!Love South Indian dishes with a twist? Firangi Madras is all set to tantalize your tastebuds with their unique twist on traditional South Indian staples and dishes by putting forth a delectable and never imagined before dishes hailing from the Southern part of India. Be it the quitessential Idli or the Dosa, Firangi Madras has conceptualized a unique way by adding on to their own little twist and churning out something more delectable and mouthwatering from their kitchen. Located in the bylanes of Bangur, this medium sized fine dining eatery not only focuses on the traditional staples, but has also found out to innovate on beverages and desserts.Welcome drink: A light and fresh Ghol flavoured with fresh mint leaves.Tandoori Idli: Love the heat and smoke of Tandoor? Not much vegetarian options available though. Firangi Madras has put its own spin on idli and Tandoor, by combining them both. Cubes of freshly prepared idli and vegetables marinated in tandoori spices, and then smoked in tandoor. Served with cabbages and bell peppers for decoration and mint and coriander chutney as accompainents.Cheese Burst Maggi Dosa: Love Maggi? Love Dosa? I fondly remember those days of stuffing Maggi within two portions of breads in my childhood. Something similar though, only elevated and heightened with the presence of liquid cheese and crushed cheese, which is put along with the Maggi and stuffed inside the Paper Dosa. The final result is a crispy Dosa, with a delectable Maggi filling and gooey and cheesy texture.Oreintal Idli Satay: A South Indian concoction with Indonesian punch. Idli cubes marinated spices, grilled and served in skewers with peanut dip and honey dressing.Peri Peri Paneer Dosa: Dosa batter flavoured with in-house peri peri masala alongside the paneer cubes and served with Chipotle Mayo dip.Spring Roll Dosa: An oriental touch to our familiar dosa, this had a Dosa stuffed with greens and flavoured with sweet chilli sauce to induce the oriental aroma. Cut into portions of a spring roll and served with sweet chilli sauce.Choco Lava Dosa: Crispy paper dosa stuffed with crushed chocolate brownie, chocolate chunks and sprinkled with chocolate sauce. Served with vanilla icecream, this should be any dessert lovers’ dream.Shahi Idli Tukda: Perhaps the best twist served to us. Idli cubes pan fried in pure ghee and flavoured with Kesar to impart the feeling of a traditional Shahi Tukda. The idli cubes were crisp, rich and yet not too sweet and reciprocated well the vibes of a standard Shahi Tukda. One dish, which would definitely go for a repeat order. These innovations are selective and attention has been given to sort out the specific flavours which may be liked by our Indianized palette. The service was quick and smooth. The best part though? The food! Definitely a must try, if you plan to indulge into something new with a twist.#southindian #vegetarian #twist #fusion #idli #dosa #maggi #tandoor #firangimadras #whenstomachtickles facebook.com
