Visited 06/02/2018Opting for the Grill by the pool restaurant at Taj, instead of the coffee shop was a great decision. The restaurant can be enjoyed on a pleasant cool evening giving you a great experience by the pool. We ordered the steaks and asked for recommendations on what sauces accompany the dish best. The recommendations from our steward did not disappoint. Each steak was cooked perfectly to our preference, and the sauces and sides went beautifully with the main dish. I would recommend this restaurant to others who are looking for something more, and the ability to build your own dish with excellent sauces and choices.Taste : 4 Ambience : 4 Service : 4
Great place right in the middle of the city. Perfect ambience for a winter dinner. Operational only during the winter months, this place provides perfect ambience with poolside seating and slight winter chill! Very exclusive and brilliant food. The grilled platters are drool worthy!
Beautiful ambience, lovely in every way. The service was also very warm. Must visit in the winters, as this is only open November-December-January. Portions are quite small however, so one has to order quite a few items. Tiger shrimps, exotic vegetables, lamb kofta, brownie, recommended.
Excellent ambience and great food, the Makroosh Chicken is just awesome fully flavoured with Gandharaj like and served hot and sizzled. The staff are very courteous and helpfull in helping you identify the menu. Lamb Chops do take time but it’s worth waiting as it’s cooked to perfection and also the Flat noodles . To make our anniversary great they gave a surprise with the Cake. Overall it’s a must visit place for special occasions P.S the menus have changed they no longer serves on hot stones , don’t get carried away with the menus shown in Zomato or other sites it’s not updated. You need to have prior booking as the tables are limited at pool side.
Grill by the Pool is what I experienced yesterday at Taj Bengal, Kolkata! A fantabulous property with a vibrant ambiance, decor & vibe coupled with a classy poolside seating area, a live grill counter and soothing music is what this royalty is all about!Delicious grilled delicacies paired with wine says it all about the Grill by the Pool! Be it a date, a family dinner or a hangout destination with buddies, this place is where you should be this winters!Tried some of Chef’s specially curated dishes which turned out to be extremely soulful! Loved everything about the place : the excellent hospitality, wonderful feel of the place along with the poolside charm followed by the mesmerizing food & beverages!Loved it, completely! We went there for celebrating our anniversary..the place is mesmerizing i can say,really it’s soo beautiful..so calm..the staffs are very calm..they helped us in selecting foods..I remember his name was nikhil das,i liked his way of describing food,he helped us selecting best dish,n we ordered those ones..they were damn delicious,i m very impressed with the quality of food Taj offered ❤and the feeling was soo soo soo royal..i just wanna say if u are planning for a dinner date,go to this place u will love it❤❤❤
Very poor order management. The restaurant does not honour reservations made by phone. I would have liked to leave an objective feedback about the food and service but the reservation management has left me bereft of the opportunity.
