Delish experience @DELICE.Visited this Cafe cum dessert parlour – DELICE – The Bake Shop @Novotel located on the ground floor on left with a classy decor, recommended by one of the food connoisseurs.Tried -The Novotel Signature pastry – SQUARE- layered with light chocolate and caramel and enveloped with little chocolate flakes. Really impressed with the taste – very rich and fudgy.Chicken Tikka Patty – Perfect evening snack to break your hunger. Delicious flaky with a generous amount of fillings inside.Price is also reasonable. pamelanandi.wordpress.com
Today we gone for a birthday celebration with our officemates. We booked our table before 3 hrs of visiting. The cake was superb in taste. But the edge of the cake was broken when they served. This is not at all expected from an 5 star group like Novotel. Also we ordered some snacks which was not upto the mark(average). But one thing we like the most, we got 50% discount on the birthday cake as we check in after 8 pm.Only for pricing in a 5 star which was quite reasonable, I am giving it 3.5 star.
was attending conference in the hotel. ordered a cake for an occasion at home where they told me its a strawberry filling cake. i brought it home and found it be some sort of a cheese cake but not exactly. it was something like mousse cake but i was not told so while i ordered. It was not possible to make out what cake it was untill i cut and tasted it at home. i was super dissapointed as everyone at home just hated it. it just tasted bad. not expected of a bakery of a 5 * hotel. 1 star because the cake looked good and thats it.
Ordered a 3.5 lbs Kitkat Strawberry Gateu on 31st December. The cake looked gorgeous, full of fresh strawberries at the top, filled with chocolate and strawberry chunks, and surrounded by yummy kitkat bars all around. The cake tasted pretty good, but the layers could’ve been softer. The fresh strawberries went well with the chocolate flavour, the hard layers were a drawback though.Had a talk with the chef and he said that they accept all sorts of cake orders depending on the tastes and preferences of the guest, so that’s a good thing as most of the luxury hotels in the city have a fixed menu unlike Novotel.
Have been there to celebrate birthday of a friend of mine..a bit dissatisfied with the quality of food being served..though that may happen occasionally but what caused me to be more upset was that most of the dishes were served cold and seemed to be stale(not sure about)Ambience and the service was great, nothing to complain about that..But I’ll ask the management to improve the holes in quality of the dishes..
We went there for some evening snacks and found the bakery to be of reasonable price. We ordered a white chocolate pastry. The chocolate topping was really good and had a rich dairy flavoured, but I didn’t like the whipped cream of the cake. It was tasteless. Average bakeries serve better pastries than Delice.
I’ve tasted quite a number of desserts from here but it’s nothing great. The chocolate variants are still better in comparison to other selections.
