Fresh food.
We gave AirDeck a shot over Aqua Java because it was a new place in the same building, but boy, did we make a mistake!Firstly, it took us 5 minutes to figure out the place at 8th floor, when the lift only reads till 7th (lol?). We claimed up a really small staircase to the top floor.Next, they charged 800 rupees for hookah, when all the other cafes in the area charges between 400 and 500. Nevertheless, we ordered a hookah, a mocktail, a beer and a starter.The place was supposed to be closed in an hour and they took a full 20 minutes to bring the first order – a beer! Don’t know why but even the beer tasted different (bad different) The starter was okay but the mocktail was terrible. Without even complaining, the person in-charge came and asked if the mocktail was not okay, he’d change it (he knew the drink was not up to the mark). We went ahead and ordered an aerated beverage instead.The worst part of the deal was the hookah! Oh God! It choked like anything. We got it changed and checked at least 5 times before we were tired to even try one puff because of all the coughing. It was ghastly & horrendous to say the least!However, the manager of the place, Mr. Gupta, is probably the worst manager I’ve ever encountered with in Kolkata. He was rude and didn’t have any basic talking etiquettes. He was adamant on making us pay for the hookah, saying that we just kept the hookah on the table and didn’t ask the person in-charge to cancel it. After all the nonsense, we went ahead and paid the full amount for the order.Just a heads up to anybody visiting the place, DON’T!
