Sorry to say that incase of nabami bengali buffet there was no item of fish. It costed rs 2500 per head. Not a single bit of professionalism was displayed. No body asked how the food was. My mom and dad basically couldn’t eat anything.
Have to say that, this place gives a very awesome dining experience. The food is just so so good! Starting from the starters. The Biriyani was the best,I ever had on a buffet! The mutton was nice & tender. They had some bengali items like Prawn Malaikari & Bhapa maach. These tasted pretty nice to me.Also,I love their Bashonti pulao which had the best flavour of sweetness to it.The desserts were also delicious.I would personally recommend you,the western desserts more although the Indian desserts were also good. The buffet price is a lil expensive! But it’s totally worth it for the quality they serve.Buffet price: Rs2500(withtax) (Dinner)
We were there last week to celebrate our Aunt and Uncle’s 52nd Marriage Anniversary .Was a little disappointed initially to learn that they had done away with the buffet ,but the food we had made up for it. We ordered Fish and Chips and Fish fry and crispy chicken and chicken babycord soup for starters . It was a really great start to our lunch , although I would request them to increase the quantity per serving. For the main course we opted for Malai chingri , Chicken Tikka Masala (no need to order additional base item as they provide rice/fried rice /choice of bread along with it ) . We also ordered Kosha Mangsho with Naan and Hunan Mutton and chicken fried rice and mixed noodles . My companions really loved the Malai Chingri , so we ordered another plate, the chicken tikka could be improved further. The Hunan Mutton ,I would say was decent but there’s lot of room for improvement. The Kosha Mangsho was to die for (best quality lamb !) and my personal favourite, it would simply melt inside your mouth and the rich flavour was crazy! Would have surely gone for another serving if there was more room left in my belly. For drinks we ordered were Virgin Mojito and Pineapple juice ( There wasn’t much of a choice in this section). For Dessert my companions opted for chocolate/vanilla ice-cream while I had the chocolate walnut Fudge (which was heavenly!)And last but not the least ,our hostess Nancy was excellent and we were really happy with her service.I would definitely give 5/5 for the food and hospitality.
So I wasn’t gonna review this place on my first visit but I thought it should be worth mentioning a few things. Firstly, given that its a five-star hotel restaurant you would expect everything to be top-notch and I am only saying this because it is so, but the menu cards were in a pretty bad condition and torn on some corners. Well I hope they keep new ones soon. Coming to the food well there wasnt much options to choose from neither were there too many unfamiliar dishes to give it a taste. Now coming to a such a restaurant normally you would expect to try something new but I am sad to say I couldn’t find any. We ordered a grill platter containing 3 items of which we could choose any 3 out of 4 but unfortunately they didn’t have the pork that day. We then told them to make 2 of them prawn and they served us 2 chicken items and 1 prawn only, which was really disappointing after telling them. Well I think I have already told a lot of things so I wont anymore. The lunch was really not what I had expected but I hope the buffet lives upto the expectations next time if I ever come back again some time. I hope they make certain improvements with the menu card and overall service wise.
I was staying at the hotel and was told to go and have my breakfast here. Great spread. Loved not the quantities and varieties but the quality of the food. Loved the egg. Had an omelette. So light so fluffy, I was wishing I could have sat the whole day eating it. Then egg Benedict. Divine. I was in egg heaven.
The buffet at Eden Pavilion . I have visited this place recently & the range of buffet is yummy. The staff and the services are also satisfactory. It was really a lavish experience.
This is the buffet restaurant of ITC Sonar and I had visited for the lunch buffet. They have wide a spread but the timing is really short unlike other buffet restaurants. The bread and dessert sections for really good and also the cold cut. Staff was courteous.
